On the other hand, Styrofoam is far superior to the above-mentioned rock wool and other insulating materials in terms of insulation properties, and is also easy to install, but on the other hand, it is not fireproof and may burn with black smoke. It has a fatal flaw as a building material.
Therefore, it is only used as a heat insulating material in places that do not require any consideration for fire prevention, and the places where it can be used are extremely limited.

。In view of the above-mentioned circumstances, this invention was developed as a result of research aimed at imparting fire retardant properties to Styrofoam and expanding its use as a heat insulating material. The present invention was developed by coating the surface of granular Styrofoam with a glue and then applying fine lime powder. It has been discovered that by doing so, it is possible to obtain a heat insulating material that has extremely excellent fireproofing properties and does not generate any black smoke.
