Abstract

PURPOSE:To improve the durability and safety of the hot water supplier by a method wherein one end of a heat pipe wound together with a water pipe, to which said heat pipe is tightly adhered, on the outer surface of the inner shell of a heat exchanger is heated. CONSTITUTION:The heat pipe 10 is spirally wound on the outer surface of the inner shell 6 of the heat exchanger 2 together with the water pipe 7, to which the heat pipe 10 is tightly adhered, and an electric heater 11 is provided at one end of the pipe 10 and yet said one end of the pipe 10 and the heater 11 are located belw the bottom end of the inner shell 6. When the temperature of the water in the water pipe 7 attains to the temperature at which water freezes, the one end of the pipe 10 is heated by the heater 11. The heat is not only directly transferred to the pipe 10 but also transferred to the water pipe 7 in order to raise the temperature of the water pipe 7, resulting in the prevention of freezing. Furthermore, because the heater 11 can be provided at the ocation apart from the heat exchanger 2, the shortening of the service life of a combustion burner 3 owing to heat and the hazard of leakage of water owing to dewing can be reduced and in addition the mounting location of the heater 11 can also be chosen freely.

BACKGROUND ART Conventionally, as an anti-freeze device for a water heater, a device in which a plurality of Tanabata are attached directly to a heat exchanger has been proposed. However, with such a device, there is a problem in that the heater becomes high in temperature during combustion in the burner, and the life of the vehicle is extremely shortened. There was also the risk that condensed water that formed in the heat exchanger would adhere to the heater and cause an electrical leak.

That is, the present invention is configured such that a heat pipe is wound tightly around the main pipe of the inner body of a heat exchanger, and one end of the heat pipe is heated by a heating device, and the heat exchanger is a heating device. It can be installed at any location (ζ) away from the ground, and can be raised to improve durability and safety.
