In an air conditioner in which a sirocco type blower 4 is disposed below the plenum chamber 2 as shown in FIG. Since the longitudinal cross-sectional shape is rectangular, the air discharged from the opening 3 of the plenum chamber 2 is
When the air flows into the air, it rapidly expands and contracts, which causes a significant increase in flow resistance, resulting in a decrease in air flow characteristics, and also causes noise disturbances in the air flow.

A ventilation guide plate 6 made of a sound absorbing and insulating material that expands from the rear to the front is connected from the opening 3 to the air outlet 1.
It has been set up over a period of time.

The amount of noise leaking from the plenum chamber 2 to the outside is reduced by reducing the amount of noise generated by the flow and improving the sound absorption effect by forming a double sound absorption wall of the heat insulating member 5 and the air guide plate 6 on the inner circumference of the plenum chamber 2. With the exception of some metal plates, the materials are generally expected to have not only sound-absorbing effects but also heat-insulating effects, and can be used to prevent dew formation in cooling air conditioners.

The bottom wall 5a of the heat insulating member 5 and the air guide plate 6 are provided to improve the sound absorption effect.

Due to the directional inclination and the inclination of the bottom wall 5a, sound is reflected many times within the plenum chamber 2, and the amount of noise leaking from the air outlet 1 can be reduced.

。As mentioned above, the present invention has a plenum chamber with an air outlet formed in the front surface and an opening formed in the bottom surface, and a blower is installed below the plenum chamber so that the outlet faces the opening and the air blowing direction is upward. A sound-absorbing and heat-insulating member is installed around the periphery of the plenum chamber, and a ventilation guide plate made of a sound-absorbing material whose cross-sectional shape expands from the rear of the plenum chamber toward the front is used to direct air from the opening. Since it is provided over the air outlet, the rapid expansion and contraction of the air discharged from the opening is alleviated, and the reduction in flow resistance is closely related to the reduction in the amount of noise generated, thereby providing an air conditioner with less noise. can.
