In recent years, carton containers made of five layers of polyethylene, paperboard, polyethylene, aluminum foil, and polyethylene have appeared on the market for highly permeable liquids such as juice and sake. Among the materials, the polyethylene on the inner and outer surfaces is a thermoplastic material that has the property of being welded by applying sufficient heat to melt it and then cooling it. An ultrasonic sealing device as shown in the figure is used.

The ultrasonic vibrator 3 and the air cylinder 6 are attached to the main body (not shown), and are filled with liquid by a pair of chain conveyors 9 and 10 having carton container holding frames 7 and 8, and are filled with liquid at the closed end portion. When the carton container 11 in which the carton container 11 is enclosed is sent to a predetermined position, the air cylinder 6 is activated by a command from a control device (not shown), and the seal portion 12 of the carton container 11 is moved to a predetermined position by the vibrating horn 1.
An appropriate pressure is applied between the contact surface 2 of the anvil 4 and the contact surface 5 of the anvil 4, and the vibrating horn 1 is vibrated for a required time by the ultrasonic vibrator 3 to melt the polyethylene of the seal portion 12.

The vibrating horn 1 vibrates for a required time and then stops, but if the 71 seal portion 12 is left sandwiched under the above pressure for a required time, the molten polyethylene is cooled and hardened, and is welded and sealed.

As shown in FIG. 3, the seal portion 12 of the carton container 11 is attached to the contact surface of at least one of the contact surface 2 of the vibrating horn 1 or the contact surface 5 of the anvil 4 (in this example, the contact surface 5 of the anvil 4). It is known that recesses 5a and 5b are provided to accommodate variations in thickness, and the entire surface of the seal portion 12 is equally pressurized so that the amount of heat generated when subjected to ultrasonic vibration is the same.

This is because when this type of carton container 11 is molded, a flap 13 is folded into the inner surface of the panel and welded and sealed, as shown in FIG. Then, as shown in Figure 2, there will be a 4-ply part A, a 6-ply part B, and a 5-ply part C.
This causes the wall thickness to fluctuate. For example, if pressure is applied to the A section to ensure a good seal, the B and C sections will receive excessive heat energy and become scorched. This is to prevent this.

However, as described above, even if a recess is provided in the contact surface of the vibrating horn or the anvil to receive the same heat generation effect, the chain conveyor 9, 1 that transfers the carton container 11
As shown in FIG. 4, due to the extension of 0, etc., a variation of Δl (usually delayed by Δl) occurs with respect to the stop position 14 at the predetermined welding seal position of the transported carton container 11. .

The above-mentioned recesses 5a and 5b on the contact surface are set to have a slight margin on both sides of the normal width, but due to the above-mentioned variation in the stop position, the correspondence between the recesses and the carton container collapses. As a result, a gap was created in the thickness varying portion 15 of the seal portion 12 of the carton container 11, and during welding and sealing, the molten polyethylene could not completely fill this gap, causing a seal failure.

This is because the wall thickness varying portion 15 has a bent portion, which causes strain due to the bending, and when subjected to ultrasonic vibration, generates more heat than a portion without a bent portion, and as described above, the recessed portion If the correspondence relationship with the molten polyethylene is slightly disrupted, the molten polyethylene acts to fill the gap, but if the correspondence relationship becomes severely disrupted, the gap cannot be completely filled, resulting in a seal failure and the liquid inside. There was a problem with leakage.

The present invention has been proposed in order to solve the above-mentioned problems, and includes an ultrasonic sealing device for welding and sealing a sealing portion of a carton container, the contact surface of at least one of an anvil or a horn corresponding to the sealing portion of the carton container. A recessed portion having an appropriate width and depth corresponding to variations in the wall thickness of the seal portion is provided, and the recessed portion has a stepped portion corresponding to the amount of variation in the stopping position of the transported carton container. The characteristics and purpose of this are:
The object of the present invention is to provide an ultrasonic sealing device that can reliably perform welding and sealing without causing sealing defects.

Since the present invention is configured as described above, even if there is a variation in the stopping position of the carton container at the welding seal position due to the length of the chain conveyor that conveys the carton container, it is possible to accommodate this variation amount. Due to the action of the stepped portion, the corresponding wall thickness varying portion of the seal portion of the carton container will receive slightly excessive heat, so the amount of molten polyethylene will increase, and the gap created at the wall thickness varying portion will be sufficiently filled. I can do it.

Therefore, sealing defects can be prevented and reliable welding and sealing can be achieved.

In the above configuration, the seal portion 26 of the carton container 25
When the correspondence relationship between the wall thickness varying portion of the anvil 23 and the recesses 24 a and 24 b provided in the contact surface 24 of the anvil 23 is normal, the wall thickness varying portion of the seal portion 26 corresponding to the stepped portion 246 is slightly Although excessive heat will be generated, H' of the stepped portion 24C is )('=-!-to to to), so it will not burn to the extent that it will cause problems as a welded seal.

On the other hand, even if the stopping position of the carton container 25 at the welding seal position varies by Δl from the predetermined position due to the length of the chain conveyor that transfers the carton container, the stepped portion 24 corresponds to the amount of variation. Since the polyethylene is heated by the action of C, the amount of molten polyethylene increases and can sufficiently fill the gap in the wall thickness variation portion, so that sealing failure does not occur.
