Abstract

PURPOSE:To eliminate the necessity for providing a separate engine and effectively use a space of a ship by the elimination, by providing a mounting seat of a pump, which can be driven by an outboard engine, to a cowling of the outboard engine. CONSTITUTION:An outboard engine comprises an engine 1 in an upper part and a lower unit 2 turnably mounted to a swivel bracket 4 in the stern 3 and is steered by a steering handle 5. A cam shaft 10 interlocked through a timing blet 8 and a pulley 9 is provided to a crankshaft 7 of the engine 1, and a shaft 12A of a pump 12 is disengageably connected by mechanical clutches 11A, 11B in the end of said shaft 10. This cowling 13 has a hole 14, to which the shaft 12A can be inserted, in a top outside face, and a pump mounting seat 15 is provided to the periphery of the hole 14. While a suction pipe 16A and a delivery pipe 16B of seawater or the like are provided to an external surface of the cowling 13. In this way, the necessity for providing a separate engine is eliminated.

を収容しているポンプユニットを船外機のプロペラ軸に
プロペラと交換して取υ付け、そのインペラをプロペラ
軸で回転されうるようにした汎用ポンプに関する特開昭
56−146091号の発明もなされているが、上記い
ずれの発明もポンプとして作動させるためには、その都
度取り外し及び取り付けが必要となり、その操作が煩わ
しいという欠点がある。

ラッチ11A及び受動側クラッチ11Bからなる機械式
のクラッチ装置によりポンプ12のポンプ軸12Aが嵌
脱可能に連結されている。
