Abstract

PURPOSE:To prevent a separating member from deforming when a separation part is inserted and to eliminate sheet contamination due to the contamination of the separating member, by using the separating member which has curling characteristics perpendicular to a tension direction for separating a sheet after transfer from an image carrier. CONSTITUTION:When a separating and conveying part after jam processing is inserted into a photoreceptor 1, a separating belt 42-2 uses a material which has curling characteristics perpendicular to the tension direction as shown by a chained line 42-2a and curls projecting to the side of a photoreceptor 1, and the edge of the separating belt 42-2 on the engaging side with transfer paper is beveled so that the extent of engagement with the paper decreases in the conveyance direction of the paper. Therefore, even when the separating and conveying part contacts the end part of the photoreceptor 1 when inserted, the belt 42-2 is easy to move away from the photoreceptor 1 by the synergistic effect between the curling characteristics and the inclination of the edge and the belt never deforms.

However, in this separation belt method, the separation belt is stretched near the photoreceptor due to its structure, so when the separation section is opened and reset for jam removal, the separation belt tends to come into contact with the photoreceptor drum. There was a risk that the material would become deformed and hinder separation.

In addition, there is a possibility that dirt such as toner accumulated in the notch may be transferred to the paper passing side and become smudged from the edge of the paper.

SUMMARY OF THE INVENTION Therefore, the present invention aims to solve the problems of the prior art described above. That is, it is possible to prevent deformation of the separation member when inserting the separation line, and also to eliminate stains on the sheet due to dirt on the separation member.

Next, separation of the transfer paper will be explained according to FIGS. 3 and 6. FIG. 6 is a perspective view showing a state in which the transfer paper is separated. In the figure, first, the image on the photoreceptor 1 is transferred by the transfer charger 4 to the paper that is conveyed by the conveyors 6 and 7 and passes between the guide plates 8 and 90. Separation bells are placed between the paper 2 and the photoreceptor 1 in the non-image areas on both the left and right ends)
Because of the presence of 42-1 and 42-2, both ends of the paper are separated from the photoreceptor 1, and the entire transfer paper is separated.

Here, FIG. 7 is a perspective view showing the positional relationship between the photoreceptor 1 and the front separation belt 42-1 and the shape of the front separation belt during insertion of the separation conveyance section 3 after jam processing. . In Figure 7, separation bell) 42-2 is 42 in the figure.
As shown in -2-a, a material having a curl characteristic in a direction perpendicular to the tension direction and a shape in which this curl is convexly curled on the photoreceptor 111I is used, and furthermore, a separation bell! As shown by 42-2-b, the nip between 42-2 and the transfer paper on the heel side is inclined such that the nip of the paper decreases in the direction of conveyance of the paper. Further, arrow 1-a indicates the rotation direction of the photoreceptor.

With such a structure (separation bell), even if it is stretched close to the photoconductor, or even if it comes into contact with the end of the photoconductor when the separation conveyance section is inserted, the synergistic effect of the curl characteristic E of the slope of the edge As a result, the bell) 42-2 easily escapes in the direction away from the photoreceptor, and the bell F is no longer deformed.

Although the present embodiment has been specifically described with respect to the front side separation belt, it goes without saying that it is not limited to only the front side and can also be applied to the rear side separation belt. Furthermore, the present invention is not limited to a configuration in which the separating member is installed at both ends of the image carrier, but may be installed at the other end, for example. By using a separation member whose material has a curl property and whose edges are sloped, deformation of the belt due to interference with the photoreceptor can be avoided (instead of the slope of the edges). This effect also makes it possible to prevent stains on the paper passing side of the separation member.
