Abstract

PURPOSE:To allow the ventilation to be performed positively in response to the operation of a burning apparatus, by detecting the light of a flame of the burning apparatus or the like through a light transmitting body that comprises optical fibers by a photoelectric switch. CONSTITUTION:A ventilating fan 1 includes a hood 2 that is positioned over a range 4, is attached to a room wall 3, contains a blowing chamber 5 and an electric part housing chamber 6, and has a suction port 7 in the lower surface and an exhaust port 8 in the back surface. A blower 9 is accomodated in the blowing chamber 3, and the photoelectric switch 12 is housed in said housing chamber 6. The base part of the light transmitting body 13 is connected with the photoelectric switch 12 and the tip thereof extends into a side of the range 4. Thus after the change-over switch 17 has been changed over on the side of the photoelectric switch 12, and when the range 4 is operated, the light of the flame is transmitted through the light transmitting body 13 to the photoelectric switch 12 so that the switch 12 is turned on to drive the blower 9.

Reference numeral 9 denotes a blower installed in the blower chamber 3, which, as is well known, is composed of a blower blade 10 and a drive motor 11. On the other hand, 12 is a photoelectric switch, which connects the electrical equipment. The photoelectric switch 12 has a light receiving element (such as a phototransistor) inside.
(not shown), which turns on when it receives light. Reference numeral 15 denotes a light guide, which is composed of a first light guide part 14 made of plastic fiber and a second light guide part 15 made of heat-resistant glass fiber. The section 14 and the second light guide section 15 are connected by a repeater 16 and connected in a single tree. As shown in FIG. 2, this intermediate shaft 16 has screw seats 16a, 16a. The base end (first light guide section 14 side) of one such light guide 13 is connected to the photoelectric switch 12, and the middle part is led out from the ventilation fan 1 and hangs down along the taro 3. The tip part (second light guide part 15 side) is arranged so as to face the microwave oven 4 from the side, and the middle part of the light guide part 16: well, the repeater 16 is placed in the room. It is fixed to the chamber wall 3 by screwing it to the wall 3. 17':'L Electric' - This is a changeover switch arranged in the two-item storage chamber 6, which switches the WED motor from the L off position, which can be seen from the electric circuit shown in FIG. 6, via the photoelectric switch 12. 11 and a current path to the motor 11 that does not go through the photoelectric switch 12 are selectively closed.

Now, the operation of the above configuration will be explained. First, the changeover switch 17 is set to the photoelectric switch 12 side. When the range 4 is used, the light from the flame in the range 4 is transmitted to the photoelectric switch 12 via the light guide 15, and the photoelectric switch 12 receives the light and turns on. 1) The motor 11 is energized and the blower 9 is driven. Then, due to the blowing action of the blower 9, the range 4
Oil smoke, etc. rising from this area is discharged outside. When the use of the microwave oven 4 is finished, no more light is transmitted to the photoelectric switch 12, so the photoelectric switch 12 is turned off and the blower 9 is turned off.

As described above, according to this embodiment, the following effects can be obtained. That is, the light from the flame in the range 4 is detected by the photoelectric switch 12 via the light guide 13 made of an optical fiber, and in other words, the use of the range 4 is detected by detecting the light, so that smoke and combustion air can be detected. Unlike the conventional detection method, it is possible to reliably detect the use of the range 4, which is a combustion sensor, and when installing the light guide 15, which is a sensor, it can be installed with its tip facing the range 4. It is possible to perform reliable detection, and therefore, unlike the conventional method, the detection position can be easily selected. In addition, since the middle part of the light guide 13 can be continued by the repeater 16, even if the light guide 13 is cut in the middle to adjust the length, the light guide 13 can be connected to one tree. Therefore, the length of the light guide 13 can be adjusted. Moreover, since the repeater 16 is also used as a fixture, a separate member for attaching and fixing the light guide 13 to the chamber wall 3 is not required. It is also possible to reduce the number of parts without having to do so. In addition, the ventilation fan 1 side of the light guide 13, that is, the first light guide section 14, is made of an inexpensive plastic fiber, and the tip side, that is, the second light guide section 15 is made of a heat-resistant glass fiber. Therefore, the material cost can be reduced while preventing the light guide 13 from being deformed by the heat of the flame.

In the above embodiment, a 91 cM oven fan was used as the ventilation fan.
For the sake of example, the light from the flame of the microwave oven is detected, but when using a general-purpose ventilation fan, the light from the flame of combustion equipment such as an oil sweeper is detected. Alternatively, if it is difficult to directly detect the light of the flame of the combustion equipment, it is also possible to detect the light of a pilot lamp for indicating combustion emitted by the combustion equipment. be.
