Abstract

PURPOSE:To edit a tape with no overlap nor gap, by delivering a signal to pause other producing/reproducing actions synchronously with a pause during the video recording or reproduction. CONSTITUTION:A video output terminal 3 and an audio output terminal 4 of a reproducing VTR1 are connected to a video input terminal 5 and an audio input terminal 6 of a video recording VTR2, respectively. Furthermore, a pause controlling output terminal 8 of the VTR1 is connected to a pause controlling input terminal 7 of the VTR2. Then the VTR1 and VTR2 are set in a reproduction pause mode and a video record pause mode, respectively. Under such conditions, the pause mode of the VTR1 is released.
