(b) Description of Background Art Conventionally, station name display boards installed on the platforms of each station display the station names of adjacent stations in addition to the station name of the current station. However, in line sections where various types of trains are operated, such as limited express, express, and local trains, the next station the train stops at is not necessarily an adjacent station, and the train departing from the current station is not always the next station. It is inconvenient for passengers to not know whether the station will stop at the station. <c) Purpose and Summary of the Invention The present invention has been made in view of the above points, and includes a liquid crystal display or light emitting diode ( A dot-configured LEI display (hereinafter abbreviated as Ll6) is installed to display the next train's type, destination, and next stop station name in accordance with the timing of train approach and departure. To provide a passenger guidance method that displays necessary guidance information on a station name display board when necessary.

In the station equipment 3, train types and destinations are stored in a timetable memory 6 in the order of departure of the trains, and the CPU 5 reads the data in the timetable memory 6, that is, the type of train scheduled to depart next, according to the program stored in the OM 8. and transfer the destination code from 6 to Do 9 K. The data sent to Do 9 is sent to DI 12 on station name display board 1o. The data in the DI 12 is taken into the CPU 13, decoded according to the program in the ROM 14, and stored in the word memory 16 according to the data sent to the DI 12, that is, the train type 2 destination code.
A character pattern for displaying the train type and one destination according to the code is extracted from . When the train is not approaching the station platform, both the track circuits 2a and 2b are not detecting the train, so DI 4 becomes a 0.0 signal, and the signal of DI 4 is output as DO9K by the operation of the CPU 5. That is, D
o9 outputs a 01,0 signal. This is received by the DI 12, decoded by the operation of the CPU 13, and word memory 1
A character pattern corresponding to a 0.0 signal is extracted from 6. The character corresponding to the 0.0 signal is the character "Pa" for the next train.

Next, when the train arrives and the conductor presses the departure bell B on the platform, the signal enters DI 4, and as before, this signal is output to DO 9 by CPU 5, and then CPU 5
The next stop data of the corresponding train stored in the timetable memory 6 is read out and output to Do 9. When the departure bell signal B and the next stop data are input to the DI 12, the CPU 13 decodes these data and displays "Next stop station is 000" on the display sections 21 to 23 in the same manner as described above. Next, the train departs and the track circuit 2a is 0.2b is 1 or 0.
When the signal changes to 1, a 0.1 signal is input to DI4, and CP
By the action of U5, the information in the timetable memory 6 is transferred to the next train information. Subsequently, the operation is exactly the same as when DI 4 is a 0,0 signal as described above.
