In the illustrated example, both support plates 3, 3 are both engaged with dovetail guide portions 9 on both sides of the horizontal base 2, and are movable in the length direction by means of locking screws 11 inserted through long holes 10 provided in the horizontal base 2. However, at least one of the support plates 3 may be adjustable in movement, and the other may be fixed on the base 1. Polished glass plates 4 of appropriate thickness are provided along the respective lines to be detachably attached.

5 is a lower mold having a semicircular receiving surface 5a, which supports the lower half of the edge of the circular concrete specimen a, as described later, and 6 is a half mold symmetrically with the lower mold 5. The upper mold has a circular receiving surface 6a and is matched with the lower mold 5 to cover the upper half of the edge of the specimen a, thus covering the entire circumferential surface of both edges of the specimen a. It is surrounded and held by a lower mold 5 and an upper mold 6, and a notch is formed in the upper part of the upper mold 6 to form a lower injection hole for the capping material.

In the illustrated example, the screws 12 are inserted from both sides of the support plate 3 toward both sides of the lower mold 5, and the polished glass plate 4 is pressed between the support plate 3 and the lower mold 5. Therefore, these three parts were joined together, and the upper mold 6 was joined to the lower mold 5 using screws and nuts 13 on both sides. may be used to immovably join them together.

In addition, when the specimen a is supported by the molds 5 and 6 as described above and set in the lower mold 5 between the polished glass plates 4 and 4 on both sides, there is a space between the glass plate 4 and the end face of the specimen a. It is necessary to support the end of the specimen a against the lower mold 5 so as to form a gap in which the capping material can be filled and injected.

Furthermore, when supporting both ends of specimen a on molds 5 and 6,
If the annular rubber piece 14 is fitted in advance to the supporting end of the specimen a as shown in FIG. 1, the specimen a and the receiving surfaces 5a and 6 of the mold
Since the gap formed between the rubber pieces 14 is filled with the rubber piece 14, it is possible to prevent the capping material from leaking outward when the capping material is injected, and to stabilize the connection with the mold.

After the specimen a is set between the polished glass plates 4 and 4 on both sides and supported by the molds 5 and 6 as described above, a mixture of sulfur and an appropriate amount of mineral powder, cement paste, or other suitable material is applied. If the capping material is injected from the injection lower opening formed between the upper mold 6 and the glass plate 4, the capping material will be filled into the gap between the glass plate 4 surface and the end surface of the specimen a, so that it will solidify. After that, the support plate 3, the glass plate 4, and the molds 5 and 6 are uncoupled and the movable support plate 3 is moved to release the clamping pressure at both ends of the specimen a.
When the glass plate 4 and the upper mold 6 at both ends are taken out together with the specimen a, when these are removed, the fifth glass plate 4 and the upper mold 6 are removed.
As shown in the figure, a specimen a whose both ends are straightened with a capping material is obtained, and both end surfaces are correctly parallel and the surface has a mirror-like smoothness when in contact with the polished glass plate 4. During the capping process, the injection status of the capping material can be observed through the see-through hole 11 provided in the support plate 4, and the presence or absence of air bubbles due to air intrusion can be observed, and the solidification status can also be confirmed from the outside. Made the work smoother.

In this way, the capping device according to the present invention has two horizontal bases.
A polished glass plate 4 is removably attached to each inner surface of a pair of vertical support plates 3, 3 provided above, and the ends are placed between the upper and lower molds 5.
, 6 is set horizontally, and the capping material is injected and filled from the injection lower provided in the upper mold 6, so that both ends of the specimen a can be capped at the same time. Since it is easy to take out the glass plate 4 from between the supporting plates 3 and 3, and then the glass plate 4 and the upper mold 6 are removed, demolding is extremely easy, and the capping end faces are correctly parallel to each other and the polished glass Mirror-like smoothness can be easily obtained by the plate 4, and since see-through holes 8 are provided on each vertical surface of the support plates 3 on both sides, the capping condition, for example, the presence or absence of air bubbles, the solidification state, etc., can be observed from the outside. It has the effect of making processing and handling convenient, such as obtaining a good finished product.
