Abstract

PURPOSE:To obtain the titled formings excellent in strength and precission by a method wherein continuous fibers are impregnated with resin, then, said resin is aged, the fibers are wound about winding cores and a reinforcing plate which are set to the product size, stretched, held between forming forces hardened and formed at the normal temperature or by heating. CONSTITUTION:The continuous fibers 2 are introduced into the impregnating tank 3 and impregnated with resin, then wound about the roll 9 and aged. Then, the aged prepreg 10 obtained is wound about winding cores 5a, 5b and the reinforcing plate 7 which are set respectively to the interval of the product size, and stretched. Then, as it is held between forming forces 8 it is hardened at the normal temperature or by heating to obtain the desired formed product.

DETAILED DESCRIPTION OF THE INVENTION The present invention relates to a method for manufacturing a fiber-reinforced plastic molded article having a bearing portion, in which continuous fibers are oriented along the direction of force transmission around the bearing portion. Next, the manufacturing method will be explained. ? The continuous fibers 2 drawn out from the bottle 1 are passed through an impregnating tank 3 to become a prepreg 4 impregnated with resin. Thereafter, the prepregs 4 are placed in a jig 6a at predetermined intervals.

Wrap it around the bearing parts 5a and 5b inserted into the bearing part 6b. Next, after embedding the reinforcing plate 7 between the continuous fibers wound around the bearing parts 5a and 5b, the gap between the bearing parts 5a and 5b was slightly narrowed, and with the mold 8 sandwiched from the outside, the reinforcing plate 7 was placed at room temperature or at room temperature. A fiber-reinforced plastic molded article is produced by curing the multi-continuous fibers by heating.

However, in the conventional method described above, after the continuous fibers are wound around the bearing parts 5a and sb with the distance between the bearing parts 5a and sb being widened,
, 5b must be narrowed to match the shape of the continuous fibers during molding. For example, if the initial spacing between the bearings is narrow, the fibers may break when the mold is clamped, or vice versa. If the spacing between the bearing parts is too wide, the fibers will be too long during molding, which will cause the fibers to become disordered, making it impossible to obtain the strength and rigidity of the molded product, as well as causing deformation after molding. Furthermore, even if the spacing between the bearings 5a and 5b is set appropriately, when the spacing between the bearings is narrowed and the mold is clamped, the fibers are loosened, causing turbulence, which not only makes the molding work troublesome. There was a drawback that the molded product had defects similar to those described above.

This invention was made in order to eliminate the drawbacks of the conventional bearings as described above, and it is made by aging resin-impregnated prepreg to give it appropriate tackiness. The object of the present invention is to provide a method for manufacturing a fiber-reinforced plastic molded product that can prevent fibers from becoming disordered by orienting prepreg directly to the reinforcing plate.

Next, the manufacturing method of this invention will be explained. The continuous fibers 2 drawn out from the pobbin 1 pass through an impregnation tank 3 to become a prepreg 4 impregnated with resin. This prepreg 4 is then wound around a roll 9. Note that a film may be wound around the surface of the roll 9 and the prepreg 4 may be wound thereon. The prepreg 4 is aged while being wound around a roll 9. Thereafter, the ripened prepreg 10 is wound and oriented over the bearing parts 5a, 5b and the reinforcing plate 7, which are set in advance at product intervals. Next, a mold 8 is sandwiched from the outside of the wrapped fiber 2, and the fiber is cured at room temperature or by heating.
After curing, the mold 8 is removed to obtain a fiber-reinforced plastic molded product.

As described above, according to the present invention, a step of ripening the prepreg is provided, and when the prepreg after ripening is wrapped around the bearing parts at intervals corresponding to the product dimensions, the reinforcing plate provided between the bearing parts is also wrapped. Therefore, there is no deviation or disorder in the fiber length. This prevents fibers from breaking and loosening when clamping the mold, and since the prepreg is attached to the reinforcing plate with appropriate adhesiveness, fibers may not shift during molding. A fiber-reinforced plastic molded product with high strength, no deformation, and high precision can be obtained.
