Abstract

PURPOSE:To reduce the weight, size, and cost of a machine, by fixing a bottom plate between L-shaped side plates for attaching the machine body, and providing legs to horizontal surfaces of the side plates. CONSTITUTION:The side plates 3 and 4 which receive weight is provided with ribs 9 to improve their rigidity. The bottom plate 1 and side plates 3 and 4 are guided by embosses and grooves provided to the bottom plate and side plates and fixed at accurate positions with screws. The legs 2 are fixed at normally four positions of the horizontal surfaces of the side plates. Those side plates are provided with the lens part 5, photosensitive drum 6, fixing roller 7, developing device, etc., of the copying machine.

Description

[Detailed description of the invention] The present invention relates to frames for copying machines.

As shown in the conventional example shown in FIG. 1(a) (perspective view) and FIG. 1('b) (schematic sectional view), the frame of a copying machine includes a lens 5, a photosensitive drum 6, a fixing roller 7, and a developing device. The structure of the 8th grade copying machine is supported by side plates 3 and 4, and the bottom plate 1 supports the bottom part of the side plates processed into an L shape. For this reason, the bottom plate 1 bears the entire weight of the machine, and therefore, the above-mentioned measures are taken to give the bottom plate rigidity, such as making the bottom plate thicker or welding a reinforcing plate. The bottom plate 1 and the side plates 3, 4 are fixed to each other by screwing or the like at precise positions guided by embossing and grooves provided on the bottom plate and side plates.
