Abstract

PURPOSE:To provide a magnetic ink recorder which is capable of recording an image of high quality stably without blocking the supply and flying of a magnetic ink by forcibly running a non-condensed magnetic ink to clean the condensed magnetic ink. CONSTITUTION:When the subsequent recording is started after a pause of a certain time, a closed lid 44 is turned in the direction of the arrow to close an opening 45 and in linkage therewith, a rotary lever is turned of rotate a guide member 35 in the direction of the arrow A to form a passage from a slit section 14 to an ink recovery path 54. A pump 24 is driven by a pump driving means 25 so that a magnetic ink 20 jets rapidly from an opening slit 14 and a stream of ink is received and guided with a guide member 35 to an auxiliary magnet 16. A slant section 17 of a projecting magnet 12 and a stylus section 11 and the end face 18 of the auxiliary magnet following it are cleaned with a rapid flow of the magnetic ink stream.

DETAILED DESCRIPTION OF THE INVENTION The present invention uses magnetic force to hold and raise magnetic ink on a recording needle made of a magnetic material, and applies a Coulomb force corresponding to an image signal to the raised magnetic ink. , relates to a magnetic ink recording device that records images by flying magnetic ink onto a recording surface, and prevents drying and concentration of the magnetic ink due to magnetic force by circulating the magnetic ink, even after being left for a long time or stopped. The purpose is to stably record images of good quality.

Conventionally, as shown in FIG. 1, a multi-needle recording unit 1 (hereinafter simply referred to as a stylus) in which recording needles made of magnetic material are arranged in a row, and a protruding magnet 5 provided on the stylus 1 are used. The stylus 1 is magnetized and the stylus 1 is magnetized by the magnetic force.
In the apparatus that forms an image on the recording paper 4 by forming a raised number of magnetic ink 2 on the top and applying an image signal voltage (applying Coulomb force) between the stylus 1 and the back electrode 3, the following steps are performed. It had the following drawbacks. That is, as shown in FIGS. 2 and 3, the magnetic ink 2 is always in contact with the bump magnet 5 and the auxiliary magnet 6 and is subjected to the magnetic force. Magnetic concentration (magnetic field segregation) 2' on top and auxiliary magnet 6
was occurring. For this reason, the flow of the magnetic ink 2 on the bump magnet 5 was inhibited, and stable supply could not be achieved as the magnetic ink 2 was consumed. Another disadvantage is that when the viscosity of the magnetic ink 2 increases due to evaporation, drying, and magnetic concentration of the magnetic ink 2, the magnetic ink 2 does not fly even if a Coulomb force is applied between the stylus 1 and the back electrode 3. It also had

Furthermore, in order to improve the drawbacks of the conventional example as described above, a method has already been proposed in which a lid member 7 that can be opened and closed is provided as shown in FIG. According to this method, since the pressure of the circulating magnetic ink 2 is directly applied to the lid member 7, the sealing mechanism of the lid member 7 needs to be complicated and strong. Furthermore, if ink mist, droplets, etc. adhere to the lid member 7, the lid member 7 cannot be opened.

In the above state, the pump 24 is driven by the pump driving means 25, and the magnetic wick 20 is forcefully blown out from the opening slit 14. At this time, the guide member 35 is configured to receive the ejected ink flow and to guide the flow toward the auxiliary magnet 16. The stylus portion 11 and the auxiliary magnet end face 18 following the slope are cleaned by the rapidly flowing magnetic ink stream.

At this time, since the ink receiving portion 49 provided at the tip of the ink recovery path 64 formed as a part of the case body 39 is provided at a position protruding from the position of the opening slit portion 14 and the guide member 36, the guide member Since the airtight lid 44 is not exposed to droplets generated from the ink flow guided by the ink flow 35, the sealing lid 44 is not contaminated. In addition, the guide member 35 and the sealing lid 4
4, the magnetic ink 2o does not come into direct contact with the nozzles 46 of the airtight lid 44, which prevents the magnetic ink 2o from leaking outside the case body 39. 39 surface and ζ・Sokin 46
There is also no possibility that the ink 20 will stick between the holes and the sealing lid will not open.

Incidentally, since the magnetic ink 20 blown out from the opening slit portion 14 is attracted by the magnetic force of the auxiliary magnet 16, the magnetic ink flow is directed in the direction of arrow B by the magnetic force, and the shape of the guide member 35 and the guide member The ink is guided by an ink groove 4B provided on the inner surface 4 of 3S. Therefore, since the magnetic ink flow is collected into the ink recovery path 46 without being disturbed, the upper and side surfaces of the guide member 36 are not significantly contaminated, and the generation of ink mist can be reduced.

As described above, according to the present invention, when recording is stopped or left unused, concentrated magnetic ions generated in the vicinity of the recording needle and on each of the magnets due to the magnetic force of the bumping magnet and the auxiliary magnet, evaporation, drying, etc. are removed. The magnetic ink can be circulated as needed by providing a guide member for flushing and cleaning with a flow of unconcentrated magnetic ink, an ink collection path with an ink receiver, and a sealed lid that does not come into direct contact with the ink. It is possible to form ridges of magnetic ink that are always dry and free from magnetic concentration, and images of good quality can be stably recorded.
