はエンジンへの燃料供給が行なわれるとともに、前記ス
タートスイッチには電源に接続された第１の端子、前記
通電位置でこの第１の端子に接続される第２の端子、前
記オン位置でこの第２の端子を介して前記第１の端子に
接続される第３の端子および前記スタート位置でこの第
３の端子と前記第２の端子とを介して前記第１の端子に
接続される第４の端子が設けられ、この第４の端子にス
タータを駆動するスタータリレーが接続された自動車用
エンジン始動装置において、前記スタータスイッチとは
別に前記スタータリレーを制御可能なサブスタータスイ
ッチを備えたサブスタータ回路の一端を前記スタータリ
レーに接続するとともに、他端を前記スタータスイッチ
の第２の端子に接続し、前記サブスタータスイッチのオ
ン操作にもとづきエンジン内への燃料供給が停止状態で
前記スタータを駆動可能にしたことを特徴とする自動車
