Abstract

PURPOSE:To complete a spotting operation between PL surfaces without experienced skill and in a short time by a method wherein a projecting edge of soft metal is projected all over the circumference of portions along the covity of the PL surfaces. CONSTITUTION:The fixed mold 6 and the movable mold 7 are cast from soft metal and a projecting edge 10 is provided all over the circumference of portions along the cavity 9 of the PL surface 8 of the fixed mold 6. Then, the fixed mold 6 and the movable mold 7 are mold-registered with each other and pressed, while making the projection 10 perform spotting against the PL surface 11 of the movable mold 7 which faces thereto through the plastic deformation process. The space between the PL surfaces 8, 11 over the whole circumference of the portion along the cavity 9 remains closed favorably and flashes hardly occur on the moldings.

ある。このPL血合せ作業は、第1図に示すような金型
を例に採ると、プリューペースト、光明丹等の着色剤を
固−7Pliす/又は可動型2のl’ L面3又はqの
一方に塗布して型合せして他方が全面着色するまで研摩
により1″I、而3又はtを仕[−げる必要があった。

品にパリがほとんど発生しない。なお、プレスすること
により凸条10がキャビティ側が若干はみだすが、この
はみ出しは切削加工等により容易に切除できる1−記実
施例において、凸条を固定型側へ形成したが可動型側へ
形成してもよい。tた凸条は固定11rJと一体的に形
成したが、固定型(又に可動型)を硬質又は軟、質金属
で鋳造しておき、凸条のみをハンダ等の別の軟質金属で
形成してもよい。
