Total 1ffi With the closed mechanical shield construction method, it was not possible to visually grasp the condition of the face from inside. Therefore, conventional methods have been used to detect the state of collapse of the face using mechanical devices such as holes in the skin plate and rods, or to emit ultrasonic waves in front of or above the shield excavator and analyze the reflections to detect the collapse of the face. There is a method for detecting the condition of the collapsed part, but the former method is complicated because it requires the installation method of the equipment, the location, etc., and the condition of the collapsed part can only be confirmed as a point, and the latter method is complicated. Particularly, when emitting ultrasonic waves upward, if a portion of the collapsed portion is deposited on the emitting surface, the collapsed portion immediately blocks the progress of the ultrasonic wave, making it impossible to accurately detect the face surface.

The present invention aims to provide a method for detecting collapsed parts that eliminates these drawbacks, and is characterized by providing a radio wave transmitter and a receiver in the front part of a shield excavator, and A collapsed part is detected by transmitting pulsed radio waves from the radiator toward the face, receiving the reflected waves by the receiver, and analyzing the received waves.

One embodiment of the present invention will be described below with reference to the drawings. A window (2) made of high-strength resin or the like is provided on the upper part of the skin plate (1a) of the shield tunneling machine (1), and a pulsed radio wave transmitter is provided directly below the window (2). (5) and a receiver (4) are provided with freely adjustable directivity. (5) is a control device that controls the pulse oscillation frequency and power of the transmitter (6); (6) is a controller that converts the time difference between the transmitted pulse radio wave and the received pulse radio wave into a distance, and converts the attenuation level of the received pulse into a voltage, etc. Signal processing device to convert (

The signal transmitter (6) is gradually rotated wJ while emitting pulsed radio waves radially in various directions toward the face, and the reflected waves are received by the receiver u (4) and sent to the signal processing device. (6)
After signal processing, the state of collapse of the upper part of the face can be known from the brightness and darkness displayed on, for example, a cathode ray tube as a display device (7). Here, even if the collapsed part accumulates on the upper surface of the window (2), it is an electromagnetic wave, so if the intensity is adjusted, the electromagnetic wave will pass through this accumulated soil and the condition of the face above it can be easily seen. or,
By installing the transmitter (6) and the receiver (4) so that the transmitting and receiving directions are in front of the shield tunneling machine (1), the condition of the face in front of the shield tunneling machine can be known.

In this way, according to the present invention, a pulsed electromagnetic wave is emitted from a transmitter, the reflected wave is received by a receiver, and the state of the collapsed part is known from the state of the output signal, which makes it possible to use a conventional mechanical device. This method eliminates the complexity of detection methods using ultrasonic waves, and does not cause detection failure due to accumulated soil as with conventional ultrasonic detection methods, allowing for early detection of areas of collapse, sagging, etc., and prompt countermeasures. This has the effect of preventing accidents such as ground subsidence.
