As is well known, many of the storage rooms such as closets or storage rooms in ordinary homes are opened and closed by sliding doors that move horizontally between the lintel and the threshold (hereinafter abbreviated as opening height). However, since the sliding doors in this type of storage room open and close horizontally on the vertical plane, the storage room cannot be fully opened unless the sliding doors are removed.
It has the disadvantage that it is extremely difficult to put in and take out large items such as quilts and mats. This inconvenience can be improved by using a folding door made of a set of two panels instead of a sliding door, but the height of the opening of the storage room is not a uniform, fixed size. The reality is that the economical factor of having to rely on a custom-made method in which nine folding doors are matched to the opening height of each storage room, and the cost of renovation increases significantly, is hindering the spread of folding doors. It is.

The inventor of the present invention is fully aware of the above-mentioned situation, and based on many years of experience and many materials, has found that the opening height of the storage room in existing ordinary homes is usually within the range of 1,740 m to 1,800 ms. However, by applying mass-produced folding doors of a certain standard to storage rooms with such dimensions, existing sliding doors can be easily converted into folding P-doors, making the use of the storage room more convenient and improving the finishing style. This is what led to the completion of a beautiful renovation method.

The method of the present invention will be explained below based on the attached drawings. Figure 1 shows a cross-sectional view of the sliding door part of a conventional storage room, and Figure 2 shows a cross-sectional view of the sliding door converted to a folding door. Ashi, 1
is a lintel, 2 is a threshold, and 3 is a sliding door.In order to convert the conventional sliding door 3 into a folding door 4, first remove the sliding door 3, and then at least 'i45, preferably also fill the groove 6 of the sill 2 with water pipes 7 and 8, respectively, and lintel 1
, flatten the opposing surface of the sill 2. Next, as shown in FIG.
, 9 with a cross-sectional shape 1
1A or IIB is on the room side, and is fixed to the lower surface of the lintel 1 and the inner surfaces of the left and right pillars 12.13 in a frame shape with screws or nails, and the lower guide rail 14 of the folding door 4 is arranged on the sill 2. Fix it. As mentioned above, the folding door 4 has a height dimension H1 that is slightly smaller than the opening height dimension H in the existing storage room, based on many research materials, for example, the conventional dimension H is approximately 1740 m to 1800 nishiki. Since it is within the range of , the height dimension H1 is set to 1740
The opening width W of the storage room with two sliding doors is usually 1630 to 17.
Since it is within the range of 00as, it is set to about 1630151. The upper guide rail 15 is arranged in accordance with the height H1 of the folding door 4.

That is, the position of the upper guide rail 15 that matches the predetermined height dimension position of the folding door 4 is determined based on the lower guide rail 14 disposed on the sill 2, and in many cases, the determined position is the same as the lintel 1. The lower surface of the batten 10 attached to the lower surface is also arranged slightly below. The inventor took this situation into consideration in advance and set the height T1 as shown in FIG.
Spacing pieces 17 having different widths T2 and lengths T3 and having holes 16° 16116 on each side are prepared and interposed between the battens 10 and the upper guide rail 15. Then, the upper guide rail 15 is installed at a predetermined height position, and the folding door 4 can be installed between the upper and lower guide rails 15114. 6 to 8 show a mode in which the upper guide rail 15 is attached with the above-mentioned spacing piece 17 interposed therebetween. More specifically, FIG. 6 shows one spacing piece 1
7 is interposed and the upper guide rail 15 is attached, and in this case, the portion 10' of the lower edge of the front side of the batten 10 that protrudes excessively downward is the bending groove provided in the batten 10. 9, and if necessary, the excess portion 10'' extending along the lower surface of the lintel 1 is also removed in the same manner. FIG. 7 shows two spacing pieces 17 and 17.
This figure shows a mode in which the height position of the upper guide rail 15 is adjusted by interposing the upper guide rail 15. Further, when the distance between the batten 10 and the guide rail 15 is slightly larger than that shown in FIG. 6, the widthwise dimension T2 of the spacing piece 17 is
The spacing piece 17 is interposed in the height direction as shown in FIG. By using a combination of different edge dimensions of the spacing pieces 17117, the upper guide rail 15 can be positioned at a predetermined height in a general storage room where the opening height dimension is about 1,740 m to 1,800 m. It becomes possible to arrange it in

On the other hand, the dimensional difference in the width direction of the opening of the storage chamber can be absorbed by using the battens 10 provided with the above-mentioned folding grooves 9, 9. fill, as shown schematically in FIG. The front side is bent and cut from the groove 9 to shorten the front side, and if the width W of the folding door 4 is slightly larger than the dimension W between the pillars 12° and 13, a batten]0
If the front part of the folding door 4 is used without cutting it, both ends of the folding door 4 will be located on the back side of the front part of the batten 10, and the gap between the end of the folding door 4 and the pillars 12 and 13 will be can be hidden. FIG. 10 shows a plan view of the folding door 4 installed, and 18 is a guide piece.

As described above, according to the method of the present invention, a conventional storage room can be converted into a folding door by using the folding door 4 having the height dimension H1 and the width dimension W1, so that the cost of remodeling to a folding door is significant. It will be cheaper. Moreover, variations in the height of the opening can be adjusted by the spacing pieces 17, and the interposed part of the spacing pieces 17 is hidden by the battens 10, so that an extremely good appearance can be achieved. Furthermore, since the L-shaped battens 10 are installed on the inner surfaces of the left and right pillars 12+13 of the storage room, both ends of the folding door 4 in the closed state are attached to one part of the battens 10. It is hidden by the side surfaces, so that even if there is a slight gap between the pillars 12 and 13, it is not visible from the outside, and at the same time, it is possible to absorb the dimensional difference between the pillars 12 and 13. Furthermore, since the batten 10 is provided with several folding grooves 9 in its length direction, the width dimension W of the folding door 40 can be adjusted according to the thickness dimension of the spacing piece 17 described above. The width of the side surface of the batten 10 can be easily adjusted according to the difference between the width and the dimension W between the left and right pillars 12 and 13, and the optimal width can be determined without hindering the opening and closing of the folding door 4. It is possible to convert conventional sliding doors into folding doors in an extremely rational manner.

Fill in the grooves of at least the lintel and the sill to flatten the bottom surface of the lintel, and install a batten in the cross-section shape with several folded grooves in the length direction on the flat part of the lintel. Attach the side to the bottom of the lintel with the side facing the room, and place and fix the lower guide rail of the folding door on the sill. Using this lower guide rail as a reference, the dimension between the lintel and the sill in the existing storage room is slightly larger than that of the lintel. In order to match the height of the folding door, which has been pre-fabricated to a certain height, a spacing piece l'i is installed on the lower side of the batten attached to the bottom of the lintel, and an upper guide rail is attached. Thus, a method for renovating a sliding door into a folding nine-door, which is characterized by installing a folding nine-door having the above-mentioned height between the upper and lower guide rails.
