Abstract

PURPOSE:To manufacture a mouthpiece of a hose at high operability without using welding etc., by pressing a nipple into a tapered nipple holding hole provided in the body of a mouthpiece, and fixing the nipple to the holding hole by caulking a part of a hose inserting seat. CONSTITUTION:Internal threads 2, a seat face 3, a nipple holding hole 6, a sleeve 4 etc. are cut in the body of a mouthpiece, and the hose inserting side of the holding hole 6 is tapered at 4-8 degrees. A nipple 1A is pressed into the nipple holding hole 6 of the body 5 of the mouthpiece, and the nipple 1A is fixed to the holding hole 6 by caulking the outer periphery of the nipple holding hole 6 of hose inserting seat face 8 by using a tubular punch. Thus, by sealing the nipple 1A to the holding hole 6 at two positions by pressing-in and caulking, sufficient sealing can be attained between the holding hole 6 and ripple 1A.

As shown in Fig. 1, conventional brake hoses, etc., generally have a nip/L/1 on the hose connection side, a female thread 2 on the device nozzle connection side, a seat surface 6 that becomes the nozzle seat, etc., cut to a predetermined length. It was manufactured by cutting from steel rods etc.

However, in this method, processing of the nipple etc. was troublesome and the number of manufacturing steps increased. Therefore, various methods have been proposed in which the cap body and the nipple are formed separately in advance, the nipple is inserted into the nipple support hole of the cap body, and the nipple is fixed to the support hole by means of welding or brazing. However, since these nipple fixing means are welding or brazing, expensive welding equipment or brazing equipment is required and workability is also poor.

In view of the above, it is an object of the present invention to provide a method for manufacturing a hose cap that does not require welding or brazing when integrally joining a cap body and a nipple and has excellent workability. The manufacturing method of the hose cap consists of forming the nipple support hole of the cap body into a tapered shape when integrally joining the cap body and the nipple, which are formed separately in advance. = 1. The above object is achieved by press-fitting the nipple into the nipple support hole, caulking the outer peripheral portion of the nipple support hole on the hose insertion seat, and measuring the amount of the nipple in one nipple support hole.

As shown in FIG. 2, the base body 5 and the nipple 1A are formed separately in advance. The cap body 5 is obtained by cutting the female thread 2, the seat surface 3, the Niraful support hole 6 which also serves as a flow path, the sleeve 4, etc. from a steel bar or the like. At this time, the hose insertion side of the nipple support hole 6 is formed in a tapered shape with an angle g-g0. If the taper angle is too small, the nipple will be press-fitted with a weak force, resulting in insufficient sealing between the nipple support hole 6 and the nipple 1. If it is too large, the nipple will tend to buckle during press-fitting, resulting in problems with workability. . Further, one nipple is obtained by cutting a wI tube or the like into a predetermined length. In addition, when the nipple is made into a Furtry shape, it is obtained by rolling or cutting the Furtry from a steel pipe or the like.

After press-fitting the nip zv1A into the nipple support/1° hole 6 of the mouthpiece body 5, use the upper tubular punch 7 shown in FIG. Fix L'IA to support hole B. In this way, the nip /I/IA is sealed at two places in the support hole 6 by press-fitting and caulking, and the support hole 6 and nip I
Sufficient sealing performance can be obtained between vIAs.

The above-mentioned hose cap is used by inserting the end of the hose into the annular space between the nipple 1A and the sleeve 4, and then caulking the sleeve 4 from the outside to fasten the hose, as in the conventional case.

As described above, the method for manufacturing a hose cap of the present invention does not require expensive welding equipment or brazing equipment when fixing the nipple to the nipple support hole, and also press-fits the nipple and inserts the hose using a tubular punch. Workability is also good because only the seat surface is caulked.
