Abstract

PURPOSE:To obtain a suspension having stability over a long term by mixing a specified amount of fine zeolite with a slightly water-soluble cationic surfactant and water. CONSTITUTION:Natural or synthetic zeolite is pulverized to 0.5-10mum, especially 0.5-5mum average particle size. A-type zeolite is preferably used as the synthetic zeolite. An aqueous zeolite suspension is obtd. by mixing 40-50wt% as anhydride of the fine zeolite with 0.005-0.05wt% slightly water-solubel cationic surfactant and the balance water. A compound represented by the formula (where each of R1 and R2 is 8-22C alkyl, alkenyl or hydroxyalkyl, each of R3 and R4 is 1-4C alkyl or benzyl, and X is halogen, CH2SO4 or C2H4SO4) is used as the cationic surfactant.

DETAILED DESCRIPTION OF THE INVENTION The present invention relates to a zeolite suspension for use as a raw material for cleaning agents, and more specifically to a stable zeolite that maintains fluidity at ambient temperatures and does not undergo phase separation even during long-term storage. Regarding slurry.

The use of water-insoluble aluminosilicate (zeolite) in place of conventional phosphates as a male detergent for laundry detergents has been proposed (Japanese Patent Application Laid-open No. 50-12: 181).

As a method for producing powdery detergent containing zeolite, there is a method of dispersing finely powdered zeolite in a detergent slurry excluding zeolite and spray drying it, but dispersing finely powdered zeolite in a detergent slurry is (1) detergent. Because the slurry has a high viscosity, it is difficult to disperse it uniformly. It seems to be a good method to prepare in advance a zeolite suspension with a concentration of ~B□% and to mix this zeolite suspension into a detergent slurry.

However, a zeolide-water suspension is unstable due to the difference in specific gravity between water and zeolite, and when stored stationary, the zeolite will settle and separate, which is not preferable. Zeolite water 1%
! Methods for stabilizing the suspension include the addition of a phosphoric acid alkyl ester, a poorly water-soluble nonionic surfactant, a sulfonate anionic surfactant◆ (Japanese Patent Application Laid-open No. 18!11-5ssss), or the addition of a water-soluble nonionic surfactant and other ingredients. Combined addition (Unexamined Japanese Patent Publication No. 8
4-xs+5zoo) have been proposed, but these have not been sufficiently effective in terms of long-term storage and handling under various temperature conditions. As a result of extensive research in order to obtain an aqueous zeolite suspension that has good fluidity and is easy to handle even at low temperatures, we have developed a stable and fluid zeolite suspension by using a poorly water-soluble cationic surfactant as a dispersion stabilizer. The present invention was completed based on this finding.

The present invention will be explained in more detail below. As the zeolite, natural and synthetic zeolites can be used. Synthetic zeolites include type A, xlJ, ylJ, etc., but mugen zeolite is also preferred. The average particle size of zeolite is 0.5-10μ, preferably 0.8-5JI

, preferably 42 to 41 vtl. If it is less than 40%, the mis content of normal detergent slurry is 3B to 40- or more, so when zeolite slurry is added to detergent slurry, the water content in the detergent slurry increases, leading to (spray) drying. becomes large, which is not desirable. If it exceeds S〇-, the viscosity of the zeolite slurry becomes high and handling becomes difficult.

The amount of the poorly water-soluble cationic surfactant added has a good weight response of o, oos to O, OS relative to zeolysis free.
If o, oos≦, stability is poor, and o, o s 1
If it exceeds this, the viscosity becomes high and fluidity is lost, making handling difficult.

After that, a storage trial was conducted to examine the separation stability after storage. The results are shown in Table 1. The viscosity and storage stability were measured and verified as follows.

(2) Storage stability The suspension was placed in a glass container, sealed and electrostatically stored at 25G. Separation stability and viscosity were measured over time.Separation stability was judged by the naked eye for the upper transparent layer, and for the deposited gel-like substance in the lower layer, a glass pellet with a diameter of 5 m was gently inserted vertically from above the glass C. Measure the length when it hits the gel-like substance and stop, and express it outside the volume relative to the total amount. Separation stability is good if the upper layer is 30% or less and the lower layer is 1% or less when stored for 9 days. It is.
