Abstract

PURPOSE:To inject a sealer agent simultaneously with the molding of a weather strip, by forming a specific sealer agent seal part to a part, in which the sealer agent must be sealed, in those sealed with the sealer agent in a flange fitting groove bottom part or the like. CONSTITUTION:A weather strip 1 is constituted by a fitting groove 5 fitted to a rise up flange part in the opening peripheral edge of a car body panel, fitting groove 6 holding a window glass, bottom surface 7 adapted to a folded shoulder part of the opening peripheral edge of the car body panel, and a water drain lip 8. Here a seal part 9 sealed with a sealer agent 2 is formed along the longitudinal direction of the surface 7. Then a biting striped part 11 equipped with a thin thickness part 10 is formed to the part 9. In this way, when the weather strip 1 is mounted to the opening peripheral edge of the car body panel, the part 11 is pulled to tear the part 10 and fill the agent 2 in the part 9 to the adapted face of the surface 7 of the strip 1 to a face of the car body panel.

A commonly used method for filling this sealant is to assemble the weather strip to the car body panel and then insert a sealer filling gun into the contact surface between the two. There is a method of flowing and filling the sealer between the strips, but when inserting the sealer filling gun, it may damage the outer surface of the car body panel, or
Since the filling state cannot be confirmed, there are drawbacks such as uneven filling or forgetting to fill.

For example, a pair of auxiliary lips are formed on the bottom of the weatherstrip so that they abut each other, and a sealer is filled and retained between the auxiliary lips in advance, so that when the weatherstrip is installed, the bottom of the weatherstrip and the vehicle body panel surface are separated. The sealing agent is caused to flow out from the auxiliary lip by the contact pressure with the lip, or as shown in the illustrated example in FIG.

A coating part 3 containing a sealer 2 is formed on the bottom of the weather strip 1, and a *S tearing thread is buried in the coating part 3 along the length direction. (not shown) When attached to the periphery of the opening, there is also one in which the filament 4 is pulled to tear the coating portion 3 and allow the sealer 2 to flow out and fill. However, in both cases, the sealer was injected in a post-process after the weather strip was formed. That is, in the former case, if the sealer is injected into the gap between the auxiliary lips at the same time as molding, the auxiliary lips will open and the sealer will spill out, making it impossible to inject the sealer at the same time as molding. Ta. Moreover, in the latter case, since the process of embedding threads is added when molding the weatherstrip, it is impossible to inject the sealer at the same time as molding.

The present invention was made in order to solve the above-mentioned drawbacks, and an object of the present invention is to provide a method for injecting a sealer at the same time as forming a weather strip.

2 to 4 show weatherstrips in which a sealant is sealed inside by the sealer injection method of the present invention, and FIG. The basic process relationship for injection is shown. FIG. 2 shows a weather strip 1 for a fixed window that is fitted onto a vehicle body panel (not shown) and holds a windshield (not shown). A fitting groove 5 that fits into the rising 7 flange portion of the windshield, a fitting groove 6 that holds the windshield, and a bottom surface 7 that abuts against the bent shoulder at the periphery of the vehicle body panel opening.
The bottom surface 7 is provided with a sealing part 9 in which a sealant 2 is sealed along the longitudinal direction thereof.

Therefore, when attaching the weatherstrip 1 to the periphery of the opening of the vehicle body panel, if the cut-out strip section 11 is pulled, the thin section 10 will be torn, and the sealant 2 in the enclosing section 9 will be applied to the weatherstrip 1. It is configured to be filled into the contact surface between the bottom surface 7 and the vehicle body panel surface.

As explained above, in the structure of this weatherstrip 1, the sealer 2 is sealed in the gap in the enclosing part 9, so even if the sealer 2 is injected at the same time as the weatherstrip 1 is formed, It does not protrude, and furthermore, the cut-out strip 11 is formed in the enclosing part 9 itself, and no separate material such as a thread is added to allow the sealant 2 to flow out and fill. At the same time, it became possible to inject the sealer 2 into the void within the enclosure 9.

The injection vibrator 16 for the sealant 2 is introduced from the storage tank 1T for the sealer 2 to the inside of the cap 14, and the sealer 2 is introduced into the sealing part 9 through the injection pipe 16 and into the injection port 16.
', and is injected through the slit 15'. Therefore, the weather strip 1 is formed at the same time as the weather strip (IJ).
A sealant 2 is injected into the insertion part 9 of the tubercle 1. Examples of cross-sectional shapes other than those shown in FIGS. 3 and 4 also show four different processes.

As detailed above, in the structure of the weatherstrip, the sealer is sealed in the piercing part provided integrally with the cut-out strip, so the sealer can be applied at the same time as the weatherstrip is formed. This has become possible for the first time, and has great practical effects, such as eliminating the complicated work of injecting a sealer from the end after molding, which was the case in the past.
