Claims (1)

[Scope of utility model registration request] a fixed core to which an operating coil is attached; a movable core that is controlled to move toward and away from the fixed core by excitation of the operating coil;
a contact mechanism that opens and closes an electric circuit as the movable iron core approaches and separates from the fixed iron core; a holding frame that houses and holds at least the fixed iron core; and a holding frame provided between the fixed iron core and the holding frame to buffer shocks of the fixed iron core. An electromagnetic contactor comprising: a buffer plate, wherein the buffer plate is provided with a fulcrum protrusion that supports a substantially central portion of a fixed core to prevent abnormal wear due to uneven contact between the movable core and the fixed core.
