PURPOSE:To reduce noise effectively with a simple mounting of a noncontact sound insulation plate regardless of the shape of the surface of an engine by providing the plate made of a high damping material while it is pressed securely on the outer surface of the engine with a bracket. CONSTITUTION:A noncontact sound insulation plate 17 is made of a high damping material while a convex section 20 is provided on an outer rim 17a and a pressed section 17b so as to contact the surface of an engine 11. The base end of a bracket 14 with a spring property is fixed on the engine 11 with a bolt 15. A noncontact sound insulation plate 17 is pressed securely on the outer surface of the engine with the bracket 14 having the tip 23 thereof pressed against the pressed section 17b. Thus, the noncontact sound insulation plate 17 can be mounted simply and accurately regardless of the shape of the engine surface along with a better noise reduction effect.
