面図をそれぞれ示す。 図において、１は透明基板（′ｈｊ゛ラス板）、２は　
′前面電極、３は前面誘電体層、４はＥＬ層、５は背面
誘電体層、５ａは本考案に基づく初めに蒸着される背面
誘電体層、５ｂは同じ＜５８の蒸着の後にマスクで蒸着
される背面誘電体層、６は背面電極をそれぞれ示す。ま
たＡは電極対向領域内の発光領域、Ｂは同じく非発光領

    【実用新案登録請求の範囲】
  1. ＥＬ層の両側に誘電体層を介して互いに交叉する方向に
    対向配置した複数の前面電極と背面電極を有し、該前面
    電極と背面電極との各対向領域で発生セルを画定してな
    る構成において、前記各電極対向領域の一部に、誘電体
    層を部分的に厚くして、少なくとも一方の電極あ長手方
    向に沿って連続した非発光部を形成するとともに、当該
    非発光部が前記少なくとも一方の電極の長手方向に隣接
    した電極対向領域毎に、千鳥配列パターンを有してなる
    ことを特徴とするＥＬ表示装置。
