転環′を圧接摺動し、その摺動面で内部流体を密封する
軸封装置において、上記固定環に設けた勾配状の当り面
と固定環受座の間に弾性体よりなるバックアップリング
を介してＯリングを気密的に挿入するとともに、該Ｏリ
ングと勾配状当り面とのシール位置を回転環の摺動面と
略同径位置に構成し、固定環に作用する密封流体の圧力
による軸方向への押圧力を均衡せしめてなることを特徴
