Abstract

PURPOSE:To attain light weight and considerable miniaturization, by connecting electrically directly a dot type original reading section scanning along an original surface and a dot type recording section sanning along a recording paper. CONSTITUTION:The dot type original reading section 7 is provided at a part facing the original surface of a scanning moving lever and the dot type recording section 8 is provided at a part facing the recording paper. The reading section 7 has the constitution arranged with a lot of dot reading elements 7a, 7b... on a line and the recording section 8 is arranged with a lot of dot recording elements 8a, 8b... on a line. The elements 7a, 7b... and the elements 8a, 8b... are connected eletrically directly. Through the constitution like this, no complicated process is required and heavy components like heat roller and photosensitive drum are not required. Thus, the light weight and remarkable miniaturization are attained.

However, in the former method, an image is exposed to a uniformly charged electrophotographic photosensitive layer, and a latent image is formed by changing the internal charge density.
This method uses a so-called development process in which fine powder toner is triboelectrically charged and adhered by Coulomb force to form an image, and then transferred onto ordinary recording paper.
The process of exposure, development, and transfer is required, and therefore the apparatus has to be large and stationary, and it also has the disadvantage of being expensive. On the other hand, the latter Gj is becoming more popular because it is relatively compact and inexpensive, but in principle it is still an indirect type that includes the steps of exposure and fixing, and structurally there is no mirror inside the device. Since it includes heavy objects such as optical systems such as lenses, photosensitive drums, and heat rollers, it is not possible to reduce the weight of &: to the extent that it is made into an iJ transportable type.
Like the former, it has no choice but to be a stationary type.

Next, the reading section (7) is scanned in the direction of the arrow, and the reading element (7) is scanned in the direction of the arrow.
When b) and (7f) sense the black color of character 1', the corresponding recording elements (b) and (f) operate to print two black dots on the recording paper. The gauze reading section (7) is shown in Figure (b).

Therefore, if the scanning rod (9) moves by the length of one character ``U'', the character 4J ``U'' will be recorded as a normal image on the recording paper. In the diagram, the copying operation is explained using the characters ゝY' for the sake of convenience, but any other characters, figures, codes, etc. are recorded in the same way as above. It is assumed that characters are recorded as a set of points, but in reality, as long as the reading element detects black color during scanning, the recording element continues to operate, so it becomes a line instead of a set of points. Therefore, the characters 1:L' that are identical to those written on the surface of the recording paper &:wotsu original are recorded. Furthermore, if the dot reading element and the recording element are made sufficiently small compared to the size of the characters, the recorded characters can be made more similar to those on the original surface.

■ Because it is a so-called direct recording method that enables copying by directly electrically connecting a dot-type yX reader that scans along the document surface and a dot-type recording section that scans along the recording paper, the current There is no need for complex processes like a copying machine, and there is no need for heavy items such as heat rulers or photosensitive drums. Therefore, the copying device can be made lightweight and significantly smaller, and if handles or the like are provided at both ends of the copying device, it can be easily carried by a single person.
