Abstract

PURPOSE:To perform sharp multicolor printing by forming an undercoating paint film being soluble in an org. solvent and a photosensitive emulsion film successively on a substrate surface, exposing, developing and fixing a design film thereto, and removing the exposed parts of the undercoating paint film with a solvent then forming a colored paint film on the exposed substrate surface and removing the sensitized film. CONSTITUTION:After an antistatic agent is coated thinly on the surface to be painted of a substrate 1 for signboards, etc., an undercoating paint film 2 being soluble in an org. solvent, for example, black lacquer is applied thereon and a photosensitive emulsion film 3 is coated on the film 2. The film 3 is formed of the unsensitized film 3a which is water soluble and the sensitized film 3b which is hardly soluble in water and can be removed by wiping with cloth impregnated with an aq. soln. contg. NaOH or synthetic detergents. A design film 4 is superposed on the film 3 and is exposed, then the substrate is immersed in water to remove the unsensitized film 3a and to expose the film 2 thereunder. The exposed film 2 is removed with a solvent to expose the substrate 1 thereunder. After a colored paint film 5 is formed on the substrate by covering the exposed substrate surface, the film 3b is wiped away, whereby the sharp images and character where the undercoating film 2 and the film 5 do not overlap are obtained.

BACKGROUND ART Conventionally, as a method of applying multicolor printing to signboards, dial boards of audio equipment, etc., a method using silk printing is known. However, with this conventional multicolor printing method, when printing multicolors on a board, the overlaid colors shift from the specified position and overlap with the underlying color, so it is difficult to print finely designed letters, figures, etc. Not only is it impossible to print with clear outlines, but due to the printing technology of silk printing, it is difficult to apply thick ink and print on large substrates, and printing costs are high due to the use of plate making. There was such a problem. Furthermore, it has been thought that clear multi-color printing is impossible with conventional printing methods that use a combination of painting and photography.

That is, the present invention (firstly, a photosensitive emulsion film forming step in which an organic solvent-soluble base coating film is formed on the upper surface of a substrate that has been subjected to a pretreatment step, and then a photosensitive emulsion film is formed on the base coating film). 2. Formation of a photosensitive emulsion film by applying an appropriate light source through the designed film to form a physically removable photosensitive film according to the design of the film by developing and fixing. and a design cutting step in which the base coating film under the unsensitized film exposed during development and fixing in the photosensitive film forming step is removed with an organic solvent to expose the substrate under the unsensitized film; a colored coating film forming step of forming a suitably colored coating film on at least a portion of the substrate exposed in the design cutting step and at least the upper surface of the photosensitive film surrounding the substrate; A multicolor printing method for signboards, etc. that uses both painting and photographic technology, which includes a removal step of physically removing all of the photosensitive film to expose the base paint film and the colored paint film. It is.

According to the above-mentioned method according to the present invention, unnecessary portions of the outer periphery of the colored coating film directly applied on the designed substrate are removed from the edge of the colored coating film forming step by the following removal step.
Since the removal process is carried out to remove the unnecessary parts of the colored paint film together with the photosensitive film on the lower surface, the color overlap between the colored paint film and the base paint film as other colored paint films is completely reduced, making it extremely Multi-color printing with a sharp thick film has the excellent effect of forming a film in a printing method that uses both painting and photographic technology. Furthermore, the multicolor printing method of the present invention does not require the use of expensive plate making, and therefore has the effect of allowing high quality multicolor printing at low cost.

An antistatic agent is applied to the painted surface 1a of the upper surface of a plastic substrate, for example a white acrylic substrate 1, to prevent dust from being attracted. This antistatic agent must match the properties of the acrylic substrate 1, as well as the properties of the paint to be applied to the surface 1a to be painted in the next step and the photosensitive emulsion to be applied to the soil. However, if the surface 1a to be painted is dirty, the surface 1a to be painted is cleaned with alcohol or the like, and an antistatic agent is mixed in the alcohol and applied.

This step is a pretreatment step for applying the paint to the surface 1a to be painted in the next step, and if the antistatic agent is applied thickly to the surface 1a to be painted, the adhesion of the paint to the surface 1a to be painted will be poor. Therefore, care must be taken regarding the amount of antistatic agent applied.

An organic solvent-soluble lacquer paint, for example, black, is applied to the surface 1a of the acrylic substrate 1 that has been subjected to the pretreatment process to form a base coating film 2. A photosensitive emulsion is applied onto this base coating film 2 to form a photosensitive emulsion film 3. Note that the unsensitized film 3a of this light-sensitive emulsion film 3 is water-soluble, and the light-sensitive film 3a is water-soluble.
b (see Figure 3) is poorly water-soluble and can be removed by wiping the unsensitized film 3a with a cloth impregnated with supinated soda or synthetic detergent aqueous solution: Ik9 , Third Step (Photosensitive Film Forming Step) The third step as a photosensitive film forming step will be described with reference to FIGS. 3 and 4.

The other portions of the transparent portion 4b are sharp. Next, a suitable light source such as a mercury lamp, an arc lamp, or an ultraviolet lamp is irradiated from above the design film 4 to expose the portion of the photosensitive emulsion film 3 corresponding to the transparent portion 4b. Then, the design film 4 is removed from the acrylic substrate 1, and the acrylic substrate 1 is immersed in water or hot water to develop and fix the photosensitive emulsion film 3. By this development and fixation, the unsensitized film 3a of the light-sensitive emulsion film 3, that is, the text and figure parts are dissolved, and by washing with water or hot water, the text and figure parts are removed, as shown in FIG. The base coating film 2 under the photosensitive film 3a is exposed. Note that if the acrylic substrate 1 is physically acted upon during the development and fixing work, the photosensitive film 3b of the photosensitive emulsion film 3 will be damaged, so care must be taken.

Fourth process (design cutting process) The fourth process as a design cutting process will be explained with reference to FIG. The base coating film 2 under the unsensitized film 3a exposed during development and fixing in the photosensitive film forming step is dissolved with lacquer thinner as an organic solvent, and then removed and allowed to air dry. On the acrylic substrate 1, a design groove D2 representing characters and figures corresponding to the opaque portion 4a of the design film 4 is formed, and the depth of the design groove D2 is determined by the base coating. 2 and photosensitive emulsion 7 film 3
The upper surface of the acrylic substrate 1 is exposed at the bottoms of the design grooves DI and D2. Incidentally, since the photosensitive film 3b of the photosensitive emulsion film 3 is insoluble in FF5 solvents such as lacquer thinner, only the exposed base coating film 2 is selectively dissolved by the lacquer thinner without being dissolved. It shows in particular.
