Abstract

PURPOSE:To minimize ghosts, flares, etc. by irradiating illuminating light from the direction where the contrast between the transparent part and opaque part of a liquid crystal is highest. CONSTITUTION:Light from an illuminating lamp 4 is made into parallel light by a lens. The parallel light reflects on the surface of a mirror 2, and passes through the hole 6a of a printed board 6, whereafter the light transmits through the transparent part of a liquid crystal 8 and imprints the projected image of the figures displayed on a film which is held roughly in tight contact with a pressing plate. The mirror 2 is mounted with >=45 deg. inclination with respect to the optical axis of a lens 3, so that the reflected light is made incident thereto with theta deg. inclination from the direction perpendicular to the plane of a liquid crystal display plate 8. 透明部とのコントラストが異なり、液晶に垂直方向から
入射したυh電圧を印加されていない部分においても成
る1!度透過するために生ずるものである。
