Detailed Description of the Invention The present invention removes snow, dust, etc. harmful to insulation from the cooling air of vehicle electrical equipment without using a special inertial filter or snow removal device, and supplies clean air to the equipment. This relates to a vehicle electrical equipment cooling system that blows air, and is particularly effective for cooling equipment that is loaded under the floor.

That is, by interposing an intermediate air passage 2 such as a rectifier on the air intake side of the equipment 1 to be cooled installed facing the ventilation direction, and connecting it to the air outlet part of the blower 3, and operating the blower 3, Outside air is sucked in from an eliminator 4a provided at the lower skirt portion of the outer panel 4 on the side of the vehicle body and sent to the equipment 1 to be cooled for ventilation cooling.

Since such an air blower does not have a snow and dust removal function, it sucks in snow and dust and blows the air directly to the cooled device 1, which may cause damage such as poor insulation of the equipment.

For this reason, it has been proposed to install a filter 5 or the like immediately after the eliminator 4a to remove dust, or to install a snow removal device as shown in FIG. 3 on the vehicle floor.

However, filters tend to become clogged due to the capture of snow and dust, and the drawback is that they clog quickly, especially when it comes to snow, reducing the amount of air taken in and causing equipment to overheat and burn out.

On the other hand, the snow removal device requires a main blower 6 to blow snow-removed air to the cooled equipment 1 and an auxiliary blower 7 to discharge snow-laden air to the outside of the vehicle, increasing the number of devices and making it even larger. Since it requires a curved air passage 8, it requires a very large installation space and has the disadvantage that it cannot be placed in the space under the floor.

In FIGS. 4 and 5, a centrifugal centrifuge consisting of an impeller 10 fixed with a screw to the shaft end of a drive electric motor 9, a scroll-shaped case 11 housing the impeller, and a suction pipe 12 screwed to both sides of the case. At the discharge port 14 of the separation blower 13, a separating plate 15 is provided which is a flat plate extending from the discharge port toward the inside of the case, substantially parallel to the direction of the air flow, and dividing the discharge port portion into two.
It has been established.

When the impeller 10 rotates, air containing snow, dust, etc. is sucked in through the suction pipe 12, passes through the impeller 10, and is guided to the scroll-shaped case 11, where centrifugal force is applied to the air and removes the dirt, snow, etc. As shown by the broken line, the flow flows along the vicinity of the outer periphery of the scroll-shaped casing, is separated by the separation plate 15, and is partially guided below the separation plate 15 together with air and discharged.

In this way, the inflowing air is in a high speed and rapid swirling motion inside the scroll-shaped casing, so it is possible to generate a centrifugal separation effect on snow, dust, etc. very easily and effectively. It is much smaller than installing a snow, dust, etc. removal device, and can be expected to have sufficient effects with fewer components.

When the centrifugal blower 13 is rotated, air containing snow and dust is sucked in from the eliminator 4a attached to the skirt of the outer skin 4 of the vehicle as shown by the broken line, and as it passes through the blower, the air is purified for the reasons mentioned above. The air passes above the separation plate 15 and is ventilated to the cooled device 1 via the intermediate air passage 2a, and is discharged to the outside of the vehicle from the eliminator 4b on the other side of the vehicle body.

The exhaust air containing snow and dust is automatically exhausted by the wind pressure of the blower, so there is no need to install a separate blower, and the amount of air discharged is a small number compared to the total air volume. It has been confirmed that a very small proportion of 1/2 is enough to achieve the purpose.

Although the above embodiment describes the case where a centrifugal blower is provided with a separation plate, the present invention is not limited to this, and for example, FIGS.
As shown in the figure, if a separation plate 15a is provided on the side of the intermediate air passage 2a adjacent to the centrifugal blower, snow and dust that has already been centrifuged by the scroll-shaped casing of the centrifugal blower can be effectively removed. It is also possible to implement a curved air passage 2 to the outlet of the blower 13 as shown in FIGS. 9 and 10.
If the separator plate 15a is provided in this curved air passage, it can be applied even when the relationship between the arrangement of the centrifugal blower, the exhaust port, and the equipment to be cooled is restricted.

As shown in FIGS. 7 and 8, a method for adjusting the movement of the separation plate is to provide a slit 18 in the insertion portion of the tightening bolt 17 for attaching the separation plate to the intermediate air duct 2a, and attach it with a nut.

By making the outer circumferential portion A (indicated by diagonal lines) narrower than the inner circumferential portion B (indicated by diagonal lines) in this way, the height h1 from the outer circumferential portion A to the separating plate 15b in the case of Fig. 10 is reduced with the same discharge area.
