PURPOSE:To enable display of electric cell life without using its display device, by detecting the life of the electric cell of a timepiece and vibrating its minute hand. CONSTITUTION:A control circuit B replies to cell life detection pulses fed from a detection circuit A to select a prescribed frequency division output, and drive pulses of a prescribed frequency is impressed through a drive circuit DR to a step motor M.
