Abstract

PURPOSE:To facilitate the assembling work and make the device smaller by a structure wherein a solenoid, which allows to pivot the key of the steering lock during the running, and a warning switch, which detects the movement of a solenoid plunger caused by the insertion of the key, are integrally provided. CONSTITUTION:A key detecting member 13 is provided in a hole 21, which is formed perpendicular to the key hole 20 of a rotator 12, in such a manner that the key detecting member 13 protrudes in the key hole 20. The upper end of the key detecting member 13 contacts with the inner end part 25 of the plunger 15 comprising the iron core of the solenoid 14. A flange 24, which is pressed against a housing 10 at all times by means of a spring 16 supported to a frame 22, is fixed at the middle of said plunger 15. A slant face 18 formed at the upper end of the plunger 15 contacts with the push button of the warning switch 19 fixed to the frame 22. Said switch 19 detects whether a key 30 is in the key hole 20 or not.
