Claims

A photocoupler in which optical elements are disposed at both ends of a cylindrical insulator, and a light guide is disposed inside the cylindrical insulator to transmit and receive light between the two optical elements, an annular spacer that is fitted onto both ends of the light guide and whose outer circumferential surface is in contact with the inner circumferential surface of the cylindrical insulator; and an annular spacer that is fitted onto the light guide to cover the outer circumference of the light guide between the two annular spacers. A photocoupler characterized by comprising a cylindrical light shielding body.
