Claims

[Scope of utility model registration request]

(1) A vacuum envelope, a phosphor layer formed on the inner surface of the face plate portion located at one end of the vacuum envelope, and a phosphor layer provided at a position opposite to the phosphor layer 11. and an electron gun held at the other end within the vacuum envelope, wherein the phosphor layer is comprised of phosphor dots exhibiting green, red, and blue luminescent colors. A cathode ray tube for a light source, characterized in that the phosphor dots have different phosphor coating areas, and an electron gun for irradiating an electron beam is provided corresponding to each color of the phosphor.

(2) Scope of a claim for utility model registration characterized in that the area coated with the green phosphor is at least twice the area coated with the blue phosphor, and the area coated with the red phosphor is larger than that of the blue phosphor. (3) A cathode ray tube for a light source according to paragraph 1 of the utility model registration claim, characterized in that a black light absorbing film is coated around the phosphor dots.
