PURPOSE:To improve the comfortability of the air cooling and heating without stopping of the auxiliary heater by a method wherein the operating electric current is restrained less than the designated value by the phase-controlling of the power supply for an auxiliary heater, in a cooling and heating combination air conditioner which is used jointly with the auxiliary heater. CONSTITUTION:In a cooling and heating combination air conditioner 2 which is used jointly with a auxiliary heater 3, a power supply 1 for the auxiliary heater 3 is phase-controlled, that is, initially, the total amount (whole electric current Io) including an operating electric current of said air conditioner 2 and an electric current for the auxiliary heater 3 is detected by a electric current transformer 5, then, said whole current Io is compared with the reference electric current I1 in an electric current level judging circuit 7. When said current Io is equal to said reference current I1, the present timing is maintained, while when said current Io is not equal to said reference current I1, the phase angle is changed by a phase angle changing circuit 8, then a triac 10 is driven by a timing signal circuit 9. Thereby, the whole current Io is changed by supplying the phase-controlled current to the auxilliary heater 3, and the supplying of said phase-controlled current is repeated until the whole current Io is coincided with the reference current value Io.

を説明する。電流トランス5により冷暖房兼用空気調和
1fi2の運転電流と補助ヒータ電流の総和(以下総合
電流Ioとする)を検出して電流レベル判定回路7にて
基準電流値■1と比較し、等しい場合は現在のタイミン
グを保持し、基準電流値I+と一致しない場合は、位相
角変更回路8にて位相角を変更してタイミング信号回路
9によりトライアックlOを駆動する。それにより、補
助ヒータ3へ位相制御された電流が流れて総合電流Io
が変化する。そして、総合電流Ioが基準電流値■lと
一致するまでこれを繰り返す。以上の動作を第3図にて
示す。本実施例によれば補助ヒータへの通電を停止させ
ることなく運転電流を一定値以下に押える効果がある。
