First, the bill validator 1 determines whether a bill inserted from a bill insertion slot (not shown) is genuine or false, and if it is "true", it issues a "true" signal, and the coin sorting/counting device 2 detects the authenticity of a bill inserted from a coin insertion slot 3. The coins are sorted and counted, and when the counted value reaches the minimum price set by the price setting device 4 or more, a sellable signal is issued.

Reference numeral 10 denotes a control circuit which outputs the "true" signal from the banknote validator 1.
When the signal is received, a coin dispensing signal is sent to the coin processing machine 5 to drive the processing machine 5, and the coins dispensed from the processing machine 5 are counted, and when this count reaches the amount of the banknote, that is, 1,000 yen. A dispensing stop signal is sent to the coin processing machine 5 to stop its driving.

On the other hand, 23 is a control circuit for the main body of the vending machine, and when it receives a sellable signal from the coin sorting and counting device 2, it becomes ready for sale, and when a predetermined operation related to selling, that is, a suppressing operation of the product selection button, is performed, the selling mechanism is activated. The coin sorting and counting device 2 discharges the desired product and sends a sales start or end signal.
The coin stopper mechanism 19 also sends the sales start or end signal to the coin stopper mechanism 19 to excite the movable solenoid 22.

At this time, since the maximum set price set by the price setting device 4 is 560 yen, the locking piece 21 of the coin stopper mechanism 19 is inserted into the guide hole 184 where four hundred yen coins can be stored in the coin return storage path 15. Therefore, four hundred yen coins dispensed from the coin processing machine 5 are first held and held in the coin return passage 15 via the inclined passage 12 and the falling passage 13.

Eventually, when 10 coins are dispensed from the coin processing machine 5, the dispensing detection microswitch 11 provided at the upper part of the inclined passageway 12 is operated 10 times, so the control circuit 10 counting the operating pulses is activated. Assuming that the total amount of coins to be paid out has reached the amount of a thousand yen bill, a payout stop signal is sent to the coin processing machine 5, and the driving of the electric motor 6 is stopped.

At this time, the coin sorting and counting device 2 performs the same operation as when 600 yen is inserted from the coin input port 3, that is, 600 yen is input from the coin processing machine 5 through the coin input passage 16. Then, a sales enable signal is sent from the sorting and counting device 2 to the main body control circuit 23.

Then, the state becomes ready for sale, so when a desired product selection button, for example, a selection button corresponding to a 510 yen product is pressed, the sales mechanism is activated to eject the desired product, and at the same time, the main body control circuit 23 starts selling the product. Alternatively, a termination signal is sent to the coin sorting and counting device 2 to erase the sellable signal, and the coin sorting and counting device 2's change mechanism (not shown) is given 90 yen as change, which is obtained by subtracting the product price of 510 yen from the input amount of 600 yen. A combination of 50 yen coins and 10 yen coins or 10 yen coins are dispensed from the 1), and the coins are delivered to the coin return slot 17.

As described above, in the present invention, when an amount corresponding to a banknote inserted from the banknote insertion slot is received by a high denomination coin among coins with a lower denomination than the face value of the banknote, and a "true" signal is received from the banknote validator. The coin processing machine dispenses the coins based on the coin dispensing signal from the control circuit that is generated by the coin processing machine, and the maximum number set by the price setting device is determined from the initial arbitrary number of coins, that is, the banknote equivalent amount, among the coins to be dispensed. Of the remaining amount after deducting the set price, the number of high denomination coins is stored in a coin return holding passageway that communicates with the coin return slot using a coin stopper mechanism, and the remaining subsequent coins are sent through the coin insertion passageway. After configuring the coin to be introduced into the coin sorting and counting device, when a predetermined operation related to the sale is performed, the main body control circuit sends a sales start or end signal to the coin sorting and counting device to dispense change if necessary; At the same time, the start lid or end signal is also sent to the coin stopper mechanism to release the coin from being locked and held, thereby also returning the held coins.

Therefore, the conventional general method is to convert the "true" signal of the banknote validator into a signal corresponding to, for example, a 100 yen coin and send it to the coin mechanism, or to This solves the problem of using a counting mechanism with a counting capacity of up to 10" to perform counting calculations and instructing a change dispensing mechanism to dispense the change.

In other words, the former requires the commonly used coin mechanism to be modified so that it can receive the "true" signal from the banknote validator, and the problem is that it is likely to lead to a shortage of change coins, while the latter requires a complicated coin mechanism. The use of a counting mechanism has the disadvantage of being very expensive, but the present invention can eliminate all of these disadvantages.
