Abstract

PURPOSE:To cope with different sheet width with one kind of roll member without giving any effect on the driving source, by forming the roll member with a driving roll and a free rotation roll in response to the state of inside or outside of a minimum sheet area. CONSTITUTION:A recording paper 13 being a sheet is recorded and carried with a recording head 11 being a non-rotation fixed member and a back roller 12 being a roll member in contact with the head 11 opposingly. Taking the minimum area of the recording paper as WA and the other area as WB, the roll 12 is formed with a driving roll 14 having a length of WA in addition to the size P and a free rotation roll 15 positioned in WB. The roll 14 is fixed to a shaft 16 and rotated by the driving source.
