There are two ways to manufacture dolls made of foamed synthetic resin: an integral molding method in which liquid synthetic resin is injected into a mold to form a foam pattern, and a method in which a commercially available foamed synthetic resin material is processed to produce one doll. However, while the one-piece molding method is disadvantageous for large-scale production, it requires a mold with the same dimensions as the size of the doll to be manufactured, which increases the cost of manufacturing the mold, resulting in high costs. There is a problem that.

For this reason, in general, a method is used to make dolls by processing commercially available foamed synthetic resin materials.Since it is extremely difficult to directly cut foamed synthetic resin materials into the shape of a doll, Conventionally, elliptical or cylindrical pieces of wood were cut out of foamed synthetic resin material, these materials were combined to create the general shape of the doll, and then foamed synthetic resin was used to create bulges such as the chest and waist on the outside of the doll. The shape of the doll is adjusted by pasting pieces of resin on it, and the outer cover of the light foam composite side of the doll is pasted over the entire surface of the doll to finish the doll.

However, with this manufacturing method, it takes time to attach the foamed synthetic resin pieces and the outer cover, and the shape of the doll is distorted by attaching the foamed synthetic 411 resin pieces.
It was not possible to manufacture a doll with a smooth curved surface like a one-piece molded product.

This invention was made in view of the above-mentioned circumstances, and its purpose is to create a product using commercially available foamed synthetic resin material that has a smooth curved surface that is no different from that of an integrally molded product. To provide a method for manufacturing a foamed synthetic resin doll by which the doll can be manufactured easily and at low cost.

That is, the manufacturing method of the present invention has a shape corresponding to the outer surface shape of the vertically divided half body of the doll to be manufactured, and the thickness of each part of the cow body is reduced in a ratio inversely proportional to the thickness. A thick plate of foamed synthetic resin material is placed on the template with the carved part formed on the top surface, and it is rolled down uniformly from above, and in this rolled-down state, the foamed synthetic resin material is rolled onto the top of the template. After cutting, the foamed synthetic resin material remaining in the engraved part is restored by its elasticity, and the surface that was pressed against the inner surface of the engraved part is restored to a flat shape, and the cut surface or the half body has the shape of the doll's outer surface. The doll is characterized by manufacturing a doll, and pasting this half body and another half body manufactured in the same manner to form a doll. This will be explained using the manufacturing of the armless Mai Kin doll shown above as an example.

Figures 1 and 2 show the templates used to fabricate the half-body. This template 1 has a shape corresponding to the outer surface shape of the vertically divided half of the doll to be manufactured on the top surface of the flat template body 1a, which is made of a wooden chimp board made by pressure-molding wood flour together with adhesive. In addition, the thickness of each part of the doll's half body is reduced in a ratio inversely proportional to the thickness, and the engraving part 2 is formed with a slightly different depth. Two types of templates are prepared: an E template and a template with a carved part corresponding to the back half of the doll's body. Since this template 1 is made of wooden chimp board, it is very inexpensive, and cutting of the engraved portion 2 is easy, and even if it is cut too much, it can be easily corrected by overlay. In addition, since the depth of the carved part 2 is a depth obtained by reducing the thickness of the half body of the doll to be manufactured by a predetermined ratio, the cutting process of the carved part 2 can be easily performed in a short time. Therefore, it can be produced at a much lower cost than a mold for integrally molding one doll.

Therefore, when manufacturing a doll, first, as shown in FIG. 3, and with the foamed synthetic resin material 3 surrounded by a frame 4, the entire foamed synthetic resin material 3 is uniformly pressed down from above using a flat pressing die 5 as shown in FIG. A portion of the foamed synthetic resin material 3 corresponding to the carved portion 2 is pushed into the carved portion 2, and the foamed synthetic resin material 3 is compressed. The amount of compression of the foamed synthetic resin material 3 is determined depending on the depth of the carved portion 2. That is, for example, when the depth of the deepest part of the engraving s2 is set to 1/4 of the thickness of the half body to be manufactured, the foamed synthetic resin material 3 at the deepest part of the engraving 2
The foamed synthetic resin material 3 is rolled down until the thickness becomes 1/4 of the original thickness. After the foamed synthetic resin material 3 is rolled down in this way, the foamed synthetic resin material 3 is laid down on the upper surface of the template 1 and cut horizontally by the cutting blade 6 as shown in FIG. After this, the foamed synthetic resin material 3 remaining in the engraving mold 2 is restored by its elasticity. Pressed inside s2 part ℃
The surface that had been removed is slightly restored to a flat surface, and along with this, the shape of the doll's outer surface corresponds to the shape of the cut surface or the carved part 20). FIG. 5 shows the front half body 7a manufactured in this manner. In addition, when the foamed synthetic resin material 3 is uniformly pressed down with the press die 5, the relative pongee ratio of the foamed synthetic resin material 3 is different between the deep part and the shallow part of the engraving 6, and the shallow part is more compressed. Therefore, how much of the thin portion of the foamed synthetic resin material 3 remaining in the four engraved areas 2 will be restored? The depth of the engraved portion 2 is determined by the thickness of each part of the doll half to be manufactured. The shallow part of the carved part 2 is inversely proportional to the depth of the half body of the doll to be manufactured. The half body has the same dimensions and shape as the sprout of the doll to be manufactured.

Therefore, after making the front and rear halves of the doll as described above, it is recommended that the doll be formed by bonding the front half body 7a and the rear body 7b together using a bonding agent, as shown in Figure 6. . Figure 8 shows a doll manufactured in this manner, and this doll has a supporting member 8 built into one of its legs, and the 1;' end of this supporting member 8 is attached to a stand 9. It is used by being attached to. Note that the support material 8 is the front half body 7a.
, 7b are attached by being inserted between the front half bodies 7a and 7b.

7b and then bond the front half bodies 7a and 7b together to form a doll. This manufacturing method uses commercially available foamed synthetic resin material to create a smooth curved surface that is almost the same as an integrally molded product. Since the mold plate 1 can be manufactured at a low cost as described above, the doll can be manufactured at a lower cost than by the integral molding method.

In the above embodiment, the template 1 is formed of a wooden chip board, or the template 1 may be a metal plate or a synthetic rail with the carved parts 2 cut into it, and even in that case, the template can be integrally molded. Compared to conventional molds, it can be produced very cheaply. In addition, although the above embodiment describes the production of an armless mannequin doll above the knees, the manufacturing method of the present invention can also be applied to the production of partial dolls with only arms and legs, full-body dolls, and animal dolls. . 8 and 9 respectively show dolls manufactured by the manufacturing method of the present invention, and FIG. 8 shows the front half body 7a and the rear half body 7b shown in the above embodiment, and the left and right halves that become the arms. body 1
0a, 10b, and the left and right half bodies 11a, l which will become the lower legs.
This figure shows a full-body mannequin doll made by sandwiching and pasting together bendable metal aggregates 12. In addition, the elephant animal doll shown in Fig. 9 is made by laminating the legs of the left and right halves 14a and 14b on the body of the left and right halves 13a and 13b, and attaching a separately manufactured bowl and The fangs are glued on, and the nose, legs, etc. of this animal doll can be bent freely by sandwiching and pasting together pieces of aggregate that can bend the body of the doll.
