A rotary drive device for a tape recorder in which a rotatably supported bearing part, a power transmission part to which driving force from a drive source is transmitted, and a rotation transmission part to transmit rotation to another rotating member are integrally formed. The bearing part and the rotation transmission part are formed of a soft resin having a hardness of 110 or less on the Rockwell hardness JIS-R scale, and the power transmission part is made of a metal having a higher specific gravity and higher hardness than the soft resin.
