Claims

Contact accommodating grooves are provided radially on the surface of a socket body made of an insulating material, and in each of the contact accommodating grooves, a contact consisting of a contact body and a contact leg is arranged in a link shape, and each of the contacts is arranged in a link shape. The legs are fitted in a straight line so that they are aligned radially, and an arcuate ground plate accommodation groove is provided on the back surface of the socket body, and each of the contact legs is fitted in the ground plate accommodation groove. Correspondingly, a grounding plate having a respective spark electrode portion is fixed to the socket body, and each portion of each of the contact legs and each of the spark electrode portions face each other to form a spark gap. A cathode ray tube socket characterized in that a communication hole is provided for communicating an intermediate portion of each contact housing groove with the ground plate housing groove.
