Abstract

PURPOSE:To continuoualy and securely apply a pattern even onto a substrate having a rugged surface, by a method wherein while feeding a substrate having a rugged or curved surface, a flexible belt form film having a pattern printed thereon is brought into colse contact with the substrate and is fed in the same direction as that of the substrate. CONSTITUTION:The substrate 2 having a rugged or curved surface is sequentially fed by a conveyor 1. On the other hand, a flexible sheet 8 is coated with an ink in a desired pattern between a form roll 5 and a pressure roll 6, and is fed out in the same direction as that of the substrate 2. After feeding out the sheet 8 with the ink-coated surface thereof making contact with the outside surface of the substrate 2, the sheet 8 and the substrate 2 2 are pressed so as to make close contact with each other by a group of guide rolls 10-18 and a group of holding rolls 19-23, whereby the ink is trasferred onto the surface of the substrate 2. After passing through the rolls 19-23, the sheet 8 is taken up by a take-up roll 9.

DETAILED DESCRIPTION OF THE INVENTION This invention is mainly concerned with printing a wood grain pattern or printing a two-color or three-color pattern on a substrate having an uneven or curved surface, such as an extruded aluminum alloy or a synthetic resin molded product. This is a printing method that improves the sense of design by color-coding, and even if there are irregularities or curved surfaces on the outer surface of the substrate, they are treated all at once, and the pattern that is to be expressed is not distorted. The purpose is to provide a product that can be finished into a desired design without being easily placed.

Conventionally, when expressing, for example, a wood grain pattern on the outer surface of a substrate such as an extruded shape using a partial layer technique, a rubber transfer roll is generally brought into contact with the printing roll, and the substrate is pressed against the transfer roll. 2. Description of the Related Art There are known methods for expressing a desired pattern on a substrate. In the case of this method, even if the outer surface of the substrate is horizontal, a gauze curved surface, a casing, or a finely uneven surface.

Since the transfer roll is made of rubber, its elasticity allows the pattern to conform to the outer surface of the substrate, but it is especially suitable for use on the shapes U and L14i used for SatsuPK or on the outer surface of the substrate with large irregularities or curved surfaces. There are 1144 mentioned above on such substrates.
When processed by the conventional method, the desired pattern was not clearly expressed, which resulted in the disadvantage that the outer surface and the four parts had to be processed separately.

On the other hand, there is an ink tank (3) above the starting end side of the pump pair (1).
An ink discharge roll (4) is installed inside the several types (3), a printing roll (5) is placed on the ink drawing roll (4), and a pressure roll (6) is placed on the printing roll (5). The ink drawing roll (4) and the plate roll (5) are provided in a pressurized state and are rotated in opposite directions by applying driving force to the ink drawing roll (4) and the plate roll (5). (7) is attached. Therefore, the roll-wound sheet (8) is transferred to the printing roll (5) and the pressing roll (6).
) and sent out in the same direction as the feeding direction of the substrate (2), passes through the first printing roll (5) and forms a desired pattern according to the printing roll (5) on one side of the printing roll (9) (8). Ink is deposited according to the following. In addition, the sheet (8) should be made of flexible material such as vinyl chloride or polyethylene, and should not be coated with ink. After applying pressure to the outer surface of the substrate (2) to adhere ink to the substrate (2), the sheet (
8) is peeled off from the base (2) and wound onto a winding roll (9). Therefore, V − ) (8) is used only − times.

By the way, when the base body (2) is stepped like an L-shape as shown in FIG. It bends and comes into close contact with the outer surface of the base (2) depending on the shape of the outer surface of the base (2).
The uppermost surface (&) of the base body (2) is pressed against the uppermost surface (&) of the base body (2) by the 10th rule (R) of the guide roll group, and the uppermost surface (-) of the base (2) is pressed by the 2nd and the b) (Press (1) to form a sheet (

From the above guide roll group, 8/-) (8) is peeled off from the rear part in the direction of movement of the base body (2)! A group of holding rolls is provided that presses the sheet (8) against the outer surface of the base (2) up to the outer surface of the base (2).

In the example shown in Fig. 4, V-) (8) is used only - times in the previous example, but it is configured so that V-) (8) can be used endlessly and repeatedly. In some cases, the sheet (8) is molded from rubber to form the base (2).
It is necessary to take into account that the bent part will return to its original flat shape when it is further peeled off, and it should also be considered that the bent part will return to its original flat shape after the transfer process.
There is a fee to wash off the remaining ink from the tip while the ink is attached to the tip. Therefore, in front of the ink tank (3), a cleaning device shaft using a V-type cleaner or the like is provided.

As described above, this invention applies ink to the band-shaped F-) and applies the ink to the outer surface of the conveying substrate V-) according to its shape.
This method prints a pattern or the like on the outer surface of the substrate by bending or curving it to make it close together, or printing it in one color or in different colors.Even if there are large irregularities on the outer surface of the substrate,
) is folded and placed closely along the unevenness of the surface, so that patterns such as wood grain, for example, can be reliably expressed on the uneven surface in the same way as on other horizontal surfaces. The pattern can be expressed in a continuous manner from the horizontal surface on the uneven portion, and it can be automated and printing efficiency can be improved.
