Abstract

PURPOSE:To improve the safety for protection of a tape as well as the operability, by accepting the reservation repetition only in a reproducing mode. CONSTITUTION:When a key is operated for reservation of repetition, the reservation is accepted during reproduction and not if it is not under reproduction. When the reservation is accepted, the rewinding operation is waited for. The reservation of repetition is cancelled if other operations excepting for the rewinding are carried out in the waiting state. Then the tape is rewound with a rewinding operation in the waiting state. Thus the reproduction is repeated between the zero display position of a tape counter 6 or the initiation of tape and the end position of the display value of a tape counter 4 in a rewinding operation mode. This repeating frequency is set at a repeating frequency counter 5. Therefore the specific part of the tape is not reproduced repetitively and in vain. This improves the safety for protection of tape as well as the operability of a reproducer.

Hereinafter, embodiments of the present invention will be described in detail with reference to the drawings. FIG. 1 shows a part of the control system in a VTR, and parts not directly related to the present invention are omitted. In FIG. 1, 1 is a terminal, which becomes high level (rHJ) when a reservation for repeat (repeated playback) is indicated, that is, when repeat is accepted, as will be described later. 2 is also a terminal and turns "H" when rewinding.
3゜These terminals 1 and 2 are the input sides of the AND gate 3, and the output of the AND gate is the repeat counter 4.
and is input to the repeat number counter 5 as a set signal, and the repeat counter 4 is set to "-11" and the repeat number counter 5 is set to "8". Reference numeral 6 denotes a tape counter, and these counters 4 and 6 count the pulses inputted from the terminal 7 and obtained in accordance with the well-known running of the tape or the pulses obtained in accordance with the rotation of the reel.

Reference numeral 8 denotes an up/down control circuit, and depending on a command from the circuit, the counters 4 and 6 select whether to count up or count down the pulses from the terminal 7. 9.1[], M is a detection circuit that detects that the counter 4.5.6 has become "zero", and by detecting that the counter 4 has become "zero" by the circuit 9, Each time, the control circuit 8 is controlled so that the counter 5 counts down and the counters 4 and 6 count down, and a signal for rewinding command is outputted to the terminal 12. This output to terminal 12 causes the tape to be rewound in a well-known manner.

When the detection circuit 10 detects that the counter 5 has reached "zero", the terminal 15. A signal for a stop command is obtained, and the running of the tape is stopped in a well-known manner by this signal. The counter 6 is set to “zero” by the detection circuit 11 mentioned above.
When this is detected, the input of the OR gate 14 becomes "H", a signal for regeneration (constant speed running) command is output to the terminal 15, and the counter 4, 6 is controlled to count up.

The input to this OR gate 14 is also connected to the terminal "16" when the tape reaches its starting position (approximately at the end of the tape).
"H" is obtained through counters 4 and 6 as described above.
is in a count-up state, and a reproduction command signal is also applied to the terminal 15 for 4 seconds. Incidentally, a signal is obtained from the terminal 17 when the tape is stopped, and the counter 5 is reset by this signal. 18 is a manual counter 6
This is the reset signal input terminal.

First, when you press a key using a repeat operation,
This is accepted if it is being played, and not accepted if it is not being played. When this is accepted, a repeat acceptance display is displayed and the program waits for the rewind operation to be performed. If a key is pressed for another operation in this standby state, the repeat reception is canceled and the repeat display is erased.

During the above-mentioned standby (the terminal 1 is at "H"),
When the rewind operation is performed (pressing the key), the tape is rewound as is well known, the terminal 2 becomes "H", and a repeat confirmation display is made by the output of the AND gate 5.
Also, the counter 4 is set to "-1" and the counter 5 is set to "8". By rewinding the tape, the counters 4 and 6 are counted down by pulses from the terminal 7.

When the detection circuit 11 detects that the counter 6 has reached 1 zero due to this countdown, or when the tape reaches the start position described above, the input of the OR gate 14 becomes rHJ, and the terminal 15 receives the A signal for a reproduction command is obtained, and the signal is also input to the control circuit 8.

As the tape runs at a constant speed, the counter 4 counts up, and when the counter 4 reaches "zero", this is detected by the detection circuit 9, and as described above, the counter 5 counts down every time this detection occurs. , a signal for rewinding command is obtained at terminal 12, and counters 4 and 6 count down. Thus, when counter 6 reaches "zero" or when the tape reaches its starting position, 4 becomes "zero" and is repeatedly played. At the 8th time of such repeated reproduction, the counter 5 becomes "zero", and this is detected by the detection circuit 1.
When 0 is detected, a stop command signal is obtained at terminal 1, the tape is stopped, and the repeat display disappears.

As mentioned above, the counter 4 is set to "-1" by the output of the AND gate due to the rewind operation, and the rewind is started from here, and the next rewind is when the counter 4 becomes "0". Therefore, it is possible to replay the screen reliably including the screen on which the rewind operation was performed while viewing the playback screen.

Generally, in insert recording, a new recording is made on a part of the tape that has already been recorded, but in this case, it is necessary to determine the start and end positions of the insert recording. When using the above-mentioned repeat playback device, for example, while looking at the playback screen, the counter 6 is reset by a signal from the terminal 18 at the insert start position, the ``!, '!!'' playback is continued, and the rewind operation is performed at the insert end position. When the counter 6 reaches "0 J" by rewinding the tape, the tape is run at a constant speed and insert recording to this tape is started, and when the counter 4 becomes "zero" due to this recording. Then, insert recording can be automatically stopped and the above-described repeated playback can be performed.

In the present invention, even if a playback operation is repeatedly performed, it will not be accepted unless the playback operation is in progress, and even if it is accepted, unless the next operation is a rewinding operation, the above-mentioned acceptance will be canceled. Therefore, it is possible to protect the tape from unnecessary repeated playback of a specific part of the tape, thereby preventing damage to the tape or unnecessary wear on the head.
In addition, since there is no need to be careful about this protection, the operation becomes easier.Furthermore, in the above embodiment, since the number of repeated reproductions is limited to 8 times, the protection of the tape becomes even more reliable.
