Claims

[Scope of utility model registration request]

A reflection type fluorescent lamp, in which a reflective film is applied to a certain range on the circumference of the inner surface of a straight glass bulb to form a slit-shaped opening parallel to the axial direction, is used so that the longitudinal direction is perpendicular to the document feeding direction and is attached to the document. A document illumination device for an image processing apparatus, comprising illumination direction adjusting means arranged parallel to each other and capable of freely adjusting the angle of the illumination light from the fluorescent lamp with respect to the document surface.
