Abstract

PURPOSE:To prevent jamming in the stage of double side copying by providing a coveying path which returns the paper copied on one side to a paper feed section without passing through an intermediate tray. CONSTITUTION:In the case of copying plural sheets on double sides, the paper fed from a cassette 10 is copied on one side and after the paper passes through a pair of fixing rolls 13, the paper is inverted with an inverting path 15, and is fed to an intermediate tray 18 with discharge rolls 16. The paper copied on one side and stored in the tray 18 is again deliverd out with feed rolls 19 and is copied on the another side, then a flapper 14 is changed over to discharge the paper through the rolls 16 onto a discharge tray 22. In the case of copying only one sheet on one side, the paper copied on one side is fed through an auxiliary conveying path 21 by changing over a flapper 17 without passing the same through the tray 18; therefore, paper jamming is difficult to arise.
