Abstract

PURPOSE:To attach a pad efficiently and reliably, by a method wherein a molded product is inserted in a condition to assemble at least a part thereof in a mold, and a soft resin is injected into a space for forming a pad to perform an injection molding. CONSTITUTION:A space S1 for forming a pad A and a space A2, where at least a part, including a pad fixture spot, of a molded work B is inserted for assembly, are formed in molds M1 and M2 and between the faces positioned facing and opposite to each other. Under the assembling condition of the molded work, a soft resin is injected into the space S1 for forming a pad. If the molded work B is of a resin work, a compatible resin is most suitably used as the soft resin, and can be secured to the molded work B with the curing of the resin. If the molded work B is of a metal work, an adhesive agent may be previously and appropriately coated on the pad fixture surface.

In general, pads are installed on the painted surface of a vehicle (two parts that are in line contact or surface contact with each other), and are used to buffer the contact between the oppositely fixed sides of various machines, devices, etc. Conventionally, the installation of this pad is the first step.
The cushioning material A, which has been formed in the form of a long string in advance, is shaped like a U-shape in cross section along the flange of the molded product B, which is the object to be attached. Normally, this is done by manually gluing each piece while spreading it out along a flat surface. However, such work requires a lot of man-hours and is not productive, and the adhesive is difficult to use.
2. It takes a lot of effort to pull out the pad and wipe it off, and moreover, poor adhesion is likely to occur especially on curved sides, which may cause the pad to come off.

That is, in the pad mounting method according to the present invention, the pad molding space between the cavity mold and the core mold (: the molded product is assembled into the mold with the pad mounting position of the molded product facing the mounting object, The pad is attached by injection molding in which a soft resin is injected into the pad forming space.

This pad A is a molded product BT formed in a predetermined shape C2 in advance.
On the other hand, injection molding (formed from two parts) is performed.Into the molds M1 and M2, at least a part of the molded product B including the space S1 forming the pad A and the pad attachment part of the molded product B is inserted. The created space S2 is between the opposing surfaces (
There are two. Molded product B is molded in mold M1. so that the attachment part of pad A faces pad formation space S. Between M2 (two sets are inserted, and if it is a relatively small one, the whole can be placed in the mold (two sets may be installed.) This molded product B
is assembled, and a soft resin is injected into the pad forming space S1. As the resin, if the molded article A is a resin product, a compatible resin may be used, and the resin can be fixed to the molded article B as the resin hardens. Furthermore, when the molded product A is a metal product (second), an appropriate adhesive may be applied to the pad mounting surface C2 in advance.

Normally, in mold molding, it is unavoidable that burr occurs along the parting line, but the burr is formed by mold molding.
This can be avoided by devising the contact surface for the 9M molded product. In the case of the illustrated embodiment, an overhanging edge is provided on the outer surface of the molded product B that protrudes from the flange portion in the horizontal direction (= an overhanging edge that protrudes from the flange portion), and the upper surface of the pad A is connected to the cavity mold M.
Side C corresponding to the overhanging edge bent side of No. 1 Bifurcated standing portion m1
It is made to push through. Since this raised portion m1 abuts along the upper surface folded curve (2) of the overhanging edge, it becomes possible to vertically press the upper surface curved end a1 of the pad A, thereby suppressing the occurrence of flaking at that part. In addition, the inner surface of the molded product B (2) The molding surface m2 of the cavity mold M1 is formed so as to be in contact with an oblique angle (2) the inner side a2 of the pad A is gradually thinned. Therefore, the turning side is likely to have a burr, but even if it does occur, it will not cause any trouble because it is formed along the inner surface of the flange portion.

In addition, assembling the molded product B in the mold (for the second time, molded product holding and positioning bins P are protruded at regular intervals on the molding surface of the capitei mold M1, and each bin is stretched +5). By engaging with the receiving groove formed on the bottom surface (2), assembly can be done by C2 to specify the position.

As described above, according to the pad attachment method according to the present invention, the pad is attached by injection molding, which reduces the number of man-hours and eliminates the need for wiping off adhesive, etc. (2) Productivity is significantly improved. This makes it possible to attach the pad securely.
