Abstract

PURPOSE:To prevent the jamming of paper even if it is conveyed in while being protruded outwards from a side registration guide, by providing an oblique roller different in circumferential velocity between both the ends and by using the roller to separate the paper from the side registration guide and thereafter truing up the paper. CONSTITUTION:An oblique roller 6 provided at the side of convey-in of paper 2 has a higher circumferential speed on the end at the side of a side registration guide 5 than on the other end. The roller 6 has a prescribed oblique angle of alpha to the direction of conveyance of the paper 2. A true-up roller 10 is provided behind the oblique roller 6 so that the paper 2 separated from the guide 5 is moved toward the guide. After the paper 2 is carried in, the paper is conveyed by the oblique roller 6 in a direction to go away from the guide 5 and the front end of the paper 2 reaches the true-up roller 10. The paper 2 is pulled toward the guide 5 by the true-up roller 10 and one edge of the paper is brought into contact with the guide so that the paper is trued up. Even if the paper 2 is carried in while being protruded outwards from the guide 5, the paper is pulled inwards by the oblique roller 6 and thereafter trued up by the roller 10. For that reason, the paper is prevented from jamming and wrong truing-up is avoided.

レーションガイドaに一辺が当接したところで位置合せ
かされるようになっている。しかし上記従来の整合装置
では第1−(ロ)に示すように、用紙Cの一辺がサイド
レジストレーションガイド暑よ)整合、される際用紙C
の後端がサイドレジストレーションガイド暑と離れる方
向へ大きく振れ、るため、用紙走行幅9tが大きくなる

方向に角度αで傾斜されている。
