Abstract

PURPOSE:To stabilize the contact pressure of a cordless tool by providing auxiliary plates closely on the back surfaces of connection terminals, which realize electric conduction between a battery assembly and the cordless tool, in connecting the battery assembly to the corldess tool in such a manner that the battery assembly can be attached to and detached from the cardless tool. CONSTITUTION:A battery assembly 3 containing batteries is connected to an electric drill or the like in such a maner that the assembly 3 can be freely attached to and detached from the electric drill or the like so as to enable cordless operation, thereby constitution a cordless tool 2. Here, electric contact is realized by inserting battery terminals 7 and 8 into electricity-receiving terminals 5 and 6 of the main body of the tool 2. Besides, auxiliary plates 19 and 20 made of a highly heat-resistant spring steel, which conform with the shape of the terminals 5 and 6, are provided closely on the back surfaces of the terminals 5 and 6. Owing to the above constitution, the rigidity of the connection terminals can be increased, and the contact pressure can be stabilized. As a result, any fatique of the connection parts which might be caused by the vibrations or the like of the tool 2, can be prevented.

As shown in FIGS. 2 and 3, the battery assembly has an electrode terminal on its surface, and the battery tool terminal 'f! is made of the terminal and one leaf spring. : Many methods are used to connect and receive power. However, in method 1, when the tool body vibrates, such as a vibrating drill, the battery tool terminal also vibrates, making the contact between the ends and terminals unstable, causing the contact to generate heat, causing heat and vibration. Therefore, there is a problem that the battery tool terminal is easily damaged and the contact pressure is also reduced, so some kind of improvement is required.

An embodiment of the present invention will be described using FIGS. 3 to 5. The battery assembly 6 is attached to the cordless tool 2, the power receiving terminal 5.6 and the battery terminal 7.8 are connected respectively, and the electric energy is extracted and the electric motor inside the cordless tool 2 is activated by pulling the switch 4 ( (not shown) rotates and is transmitted to the trill chuck 1 at the tip. Power receiving terminal 5.6
is a material with excellent electrical properties and is made of a single plate. In accordance with the shape of the power receiving terminal 5.6, an auxiliary plate 11.12 made of a material with good heat resistance is provided at a position IIK opposite to the connection portion. FIG. 4 shows its configuration and the state in which the cordless tool 2 and battery assembly 3 are attached.
