Abstract

PURPOSE:To evenly distribute fuel into a combustion chamber by chamfering the inlet of a blast nozzle so as to provided uniform fuel spray in the form of a cocoon. CONSTITUTION:An inlet part D of a blast nozzle is chamfered by electrolytic trimming, whereby the diameter of the inlet part of the blast nozzle is increased and the flow passage of the blast nozzle having the diameter (d3) is shortened. Fuel is thereby injected in the form of a cocoon and the characteristic of the spray may be maintained uniformly.

As shown in Fig. 1, a fuel injection nozzle 1 used in a conventional diesel engine is installed with an inclination angle θ1 relative to the cylinder center axis due to the structure of the engine, etc., and the nozzle hole is roughly , multi-hole nozzle holes 2 and 3 each have a large inclination angle θ2 with respect to the nozzle center axis.
and a small inclination angle θ3. Conventionally, in this type of nozzle, there are generally
The spray shape of the fuel injected from the nozzle hole 2 with a large inclination angle θ2 on the rear side of the nozzle is a cocoon-shaped shape A in which the fuel is widely dispersed.
The spray shape of the injected fuel becomes a cone where the fuel is not dispersed very much! It exhibits the shape of B. As a result, the shape of the spray becomes irregular, resulting in the disadvantage that the fuel cannot be evenly distributed within the combustion chamber.

In accordance with this invention, by chamfering the nozzle hole inlet,
The purpose is to make the spray uniform in the shape of a cocoon-shaped A regardless of the inclination angle of the nozzle hole and the nozzle diameter, and to eliminate the drawbacks mentioned in -F.

This invention will be explained based on the embodiment shown in the drawings.
In FIG. 1, the inlet portion of the nozzle hole 3 has a small inclination angle θ3 with respect to the central axis of the nozzle, which has the spray characteristic of having a conical shape B, that is, the nozzle hole inlet portion C shown in the detailed view of FIG. Chamfer the chisel using electrolytic deburring. As a result, the nozzle hole inlet portion C increases the nozzle hole diameter at the nozzle hole inlet portion and shortens the length of the flow path where the nozzle hole diameter is d3, as shown in the nozzle hole inlet portion in Fig. 3. It turns out. Therefore, the state of the flow of fuel in the flow path of the nozzle hole changes, and the spray shape changes from the nozzle hole 2.
It becomes a cocoon type A as in the case of , and the spray characteristics become uniform.

Fig. 4 shows the differences in the nozzle holes such as the large inclination angle θ4 with respect to the nozzle center axis and the small inclination angle θ5 with respect to the nozzle center axis of the nozzle holes such as nozzle holes 4 and 5, and the differences in the nozzle hole diameters d4 and d5. As shown in the inlet parts E and F, etc., the chamfering of the inlet part F of the nozzle hole 5, which has a small inclination angle θ5 with respect to the nozzle central axis,
It is larger than the chamfering of the inlet part E of the nozzle hole 4 with a large inclination angle θ4 with respect to the nozzle center axis, and the degree of chamfering by electrolytic deburring is changed, and the increase amount of the nozzle part inlet diameter and the nozzle hole diameter are d4, d5, etc. This is an example in which the spray characteristics are made uniform by varying the amount of reduction in the length of a certain flow path.

As explained above, this invention makes the shape of the fuel spray uniform by changing the degree of chamfering of the nozzle nozzle hole depending on the inclination angle and nozzle diameter of the nozzle nozzle hole. This has the effect of making it possible to evenly distribute fuel within the combustion chamber.
