Abstract

PURPOSE:In the open-end spinning using a hollow rotor, spinning is carried out, while the peripheral speed is varied in the delivery rollers to produce fancy yarns with varied thickness along the lengthwise direction. CONSTITUTION:A fiber bundle 1 such as sliver is fed with the feed rollers 2, 2', unbundled in the device 3 and bundled again by collecting the unbundled fibers on the surface 5 in the hollow rotor 4 and passing them through the pipe 6, and the reultant fiber bundle is drawn out and twisted. Subsequently, the yarn is taken up by means of the delivery rollers 8, 8', which can be changed in speed through pulleys 14, 14' by the motor 13 changeable in speed by the random signal maker 12, then wound up by means of the winding roller into a cone or cheese 11. At this time, rapid change in the peripheral speed of the delivery rollers gives a fancy yarn like slub yarn and gradual change gives a flaky or structure yarn.

Conventionally, the raw material fiber bundle is once separated into individual fibers, then refocused into a band shape on the inner peripheral surface of a hollow rotor (rotating spinning chamber), and then taken up by a delivery four-ra while being heated by the rotation of the hollow rotor. Various types of open-end spinning with a single hollow rotor have been proposed, and this connection method has proven to be superior in terms of [technical] strike and stability compared to other open-end spinning methods, and has recently become the mainstream in this field. It is well known. However, in order to improve the operational stability of the spinning process and obtain uniformly spun yarn, much research has been done on improving the splitting device and the shape of the hollow rotor. At present, it is used for limited purposes because of its properties, and it has been difficult to obtain attractive spun yarns.

In view of the current situation, the present inventors have conducted intensive studies to produce spun yarn with a wide variety of thickness by open-end spinning using a hollow rotor. In hollow rotor open-end spinning, the spun yarn is refocused into a band on the inner circumferential surface of the rotor, then heated by the rotation of the hollow rotor and taken off by the delivery roller. The present invention has been achieved, the gist of which is a method for manufacturing a special designed yarn that does not cause thickness changes along the longitudinal direction.

The present invention will be described in detail below with reference to the drawings. The figure is a partially longitudinal side view showing an example of an apparatus used for carrying out the present invention. ) (2'), the fibers are separated by a feeding combing roller or a fiber separating device (3) using a draft unit and an air draft, and then the fibers are separated by the converging surface (5) of the hollow rotor (4) by the rotation of the hollow rotor (4). The generated negative pressure causes the fiber bundles to be focused, and then the fiber bundles (7) on the focusing surface are taken out through the guide tube (6) and transferred to the hollow rotor (4).
) is heated by the rotation of the delivery rollers (s) (s').
In open-end spinning, in which the cone or cheese (b) is wound up with the take-up roller (g) after being taken up by K, the speed of the delivery roller (8) (8') can be changed via a random transmitter (6), etc. Electric motor (to) □Boo 1) -(1
4) Drive at variable speed using (14') etc. The total draft consists of two feed rollers (2) and a delivery roller (2).
Since it is determined by the circumferential speed ratio of the delivery rollers (8) and (8'), if the circumferential speeds of the delivery rollers (8) and (8') are varied to the above-described degree, some yarns with a true thickness can be obtained. In other words, the number of self-doublings performed within the hollow rotor (4) is
Since spinning is performed in inverse proportion to the speed of yarn (9), by arbitrarily changing the speed of yarn (9), a designed yarn with uneven thickness can be produced.

In ring spinning, the draft ratio is arbitrarily varied to produce a designed yarn, but in the present invention, since the hollow spinner (4) is used, the circumferential speed of the delivery spinner (8) (8') is increased. After that, if the circumferential speed is suddenly reduced, the separation position of the focusing surface (5) will move back from the position when the circumferential speed is high, and the separation position of the focusing surface (6) will move back from the position when the circumferential speed is high.
A part of the fiber bundle (7) that is gathered at 100° C. is peeled off and twisted into a thread (9), so that part becomes slubby-like, so that a decorative thread with richer design properties can be obtained.

In addition, in the method of the present invention, it is necessary to maintain the strength of the thin yarn portion of the obtained filament, so the number of twists must be determined by the count of the fine yarn portion. Also delivery roller (8

Furthermore, the type of fiber used, shrinkage rate, hue effect, etc. have the effect of further increasing the design, and it becomes possible to greatly expand the range of uses of conventional open-end spun yarn.
