Abstract
PURPOSE:To prevent ice and snow from sticking a part or the whole of an antenna, by providing one mechanical microvibration generating device at least on the reverse face of the reflective mirror to transfer vibration in the reflector antenna where a part of the rotary paraboloid is used as the surface of the reflective mirror. CONSTITUTION:A mechanical microvibration generating device 3 is provided on the reverse face of a reflective mirror 1. Microvibration of the device 3 is transferred from the reverse face of the reflective mirror 1 to the place where ice and snow are stuck to the antenna, and these ice and snow are scattered from this place. By the operation of this device 3, ice and snow are prevented from sticking to the antenna. Further, the change of the signal level received by the antenna is detected, and the detection output is used as a control signal of the device 3 to control the device 3 effectively. A cover or radome for preventing ice and snow from sticking to the antenna is provided on the antenna, and the device 3 is operated, thereby preventing scattered ice and snow from concentrating in a part of the reflective mirror 1.
