Abstract

PURPOSE:To decrease the number of parts of light emitting elements and to decrease the thickness of a back cover, by writing data on a film by using the light emitting element group when a film is advanced. CONSTITUTION:Light emitting elements 6 arrayed in a one-character or up-and- down direction are set on an area 7 with a film in between when a back cover 3 is closed. When a sprocket 14 rotates with a film advance lever, a spulse signal is sent to an information discriminating and control circuit 16 from a film position recognition device 15 each time the film is advanced by constant length, and consequently a written position is calculated; when the written position reaches the light emitting elements 6, a data output instruction is sent to a timer circuit 17 or memory 19 to output a 6-bit signal to a decoder 20. This signal is converted by the decoder 20 into a 5X7 matrix signal and a driver 21 supplies a current to the light emitting elements 6 to write data.
