Abstract

PURPOSE:To mix liquids to each other in a short period of time without spattering the liquids by a method wherein a stirring period is split into a plurality of time bands, and the number of revolutions of a stirring vane is varied according to the time bands in such a manner that the number of revolutions in a given time band is smaller as the time band is closer to the start point of stirring. CONSTITUTION:For example, a sizing liquid having a high viscosity and a dyeing liquid having a low viscosity are charged into a container 1, and the liquids are mixed together by stirring with the stirring vane 5 rotated by a variable- speed type motor 2 through a pulley 3 and a V-belt 4. In this case, the stirring period is divided into plural time bands, and the revolution number of the vane 5 is varied by changing the revolution number of the motor 2 according to the time band in such a manner that the revolution number of the vane 5 in a given time band is smaller as the time band is closer to the start point of stirring. To change over the number of revolutions, a liquid level detector is provided at a side wall part of the container 1, and the number of revolutions of the vane 5 is increased in such a manner that an allowance is left between the liquid level and the tip height of the container 1.
